So I've done a lot of reading and research, but it seems most of what comes up is pre-Mach 1 dates. Hard to find F/I threads that include road racing.

2021 Mach 1, non-HP, lots of Steeda suspension items, stock engine. Most of it's in my sig line.

Thinking hard about a Whipple Stage 2 with the bigger intercooler (and exh and clutch upgrades at the same time) and heat management has me concerned. Anybody have any experience doing track days and autocross with a supercharger?
Even if its not what I'm thinking, I'd love to hear what you've got and your experiences.

Entertaining thoughts and experiences on centri superchargers on road race tracks, too.

Is it just for DE long stints of about 20-30 minutes? Or time trials ?

how far are you willing to go for cooling? vented hood and fenders plus oil cooler?

Also getting a ton of info from Track Mustangs Online...
From personal experience, you will need an oil fed centri as the self contained ones will overheat and start spitting oil around lap 4 on a road course. Might be ok for autox / scca type stuff.

Mach 1, already have all the coolers. Venting is possible if needed.

Just DE stints.

Thanks.

Gt500 is a track car and it comes with a TVS blower. This was one of the main factors I chose the VMP Odin kit. I have yet to install my suspension upgrades but have damn near everything steeda makes for the suspension. Trying to be as close to a gt500 performance wise without spending 80-100k.

The supercharger cooling set up is very robust. I also have PP1 which i believe has additional cooling considerations. I haven't changed the thermostat but I know you can install a 170° to help keep temps down. I'm in the PacNW so I didn't change it.

What kinda engine and oil temps are you seeing with the blower?

I have every cooling mod in the book (far superior to the OEM PP1) and still overheats on a stock engine.

I haven't had the chance to track it yet. I have all my steeda parts sitting next to the car still. WOT pulls to 150 and sustained 85 mph the cylinder head temps are around 200. I am also running the standard pulley size. VMP says I can run more boost and be a little more aggressive on the timing. I don't need to run it at the edge of safe.

I don't mean to be a debbie downer, but a pull to 150 is far from the same type of heat that you get on track. Plus you get some nice airflow through the coolers at those speeds.

I'm curious how you do when you do sustained pulls for 20 minutes at slower speeds, not just a single 30 second pull.

Completely understand they are different. Someone who's had the track days needs to respond.
