2021 Mustang GT RTR Spec 1
Currently have the Steeda K member brace and IRS braces. Also RTR lowering springs. Tires are Nitto 555 275/35/20 all around. Otherwise non-PP stock.

Car will be mainly street/canyons and the occasional autocross.

Decrease front tire pressure.
Add camber in front tires.

Agree, new struts would be the next move, the base GT shocks can't control stiffer springs very well, You will be very happy with the car after, maybe if that doesn't do it then playing with adjustable sway bars can dial out understeer. Maybe someone more knowledgeable can chime in.

Koni yellows (adjustable kind) also a good strut option. Esp if you are on/off the track. I daily the ford performance shocks, they perform very well and are not harsh.

If you haven't yet, try playing with tire pressure a few psi, can change the handling dynamics more than I originally thought.

If your car understeers and you want to correct it or even over correct it to oversteer.

Loosen up front, tighten up rear.

Also bear in mind that over vs understeer isn't necessarily increasing how the car corners, it's adjusting the balance such that at it's limits (front and rear) the car is neutral, understeers or kicks out the rear and oversteers. Neutral is they work rather equally, oversteer is more grip in the front than the rear and understeer is weird where the rear has grip to spare.

If you're at the limits of front grip, then your only option is to tighten the rear. If you're NOT at the limits of front grip, then you can tighten up the front (or a combination of the two).

For me it's
  1. Square tire setup
  2. Stiff rear bar
  3. Camber plates
  4. Adjust tire pressures based on temp gradient on track days
  5. Don't judge in corners under 50mph (because these cars always understeer in slow turns)

Get some better tires. If the Nittos are older they may be very much part of the problem.

Camber plates and front camber will add front grip.

Slightly stiffen the rear of the car versus the front. (Adjustable swaybars on both ends wil allow you to dial in the oversteer-understeer balance your want, or something like a GT350R rear bar with an adjustible front. Front endlinks are probably a good idea while you’re in there.

Finally, if you’re lowered more than 3/4”, then the steeda geometry correcting front arms and bumpsteer kit are a good idea and will help the front suspension work as designed.

Front camber and swaybars. Also help your sanity by getting some better shocks. Even the marginal Koni yellows are light years better than what comes on a base GT. I wouldn't use the stock shocks to hold a screen door open.
