Good attempt but definitely looks like it needs to be redone. I'm assuming that is glue all over it? I did my previous cars door panels, arm rest, center console, glove box etc all in genuince alcantara. It is tricky to work with at first but if patient it is not so bad. You definitely cannot get any glue on it or it will not be coming off and ruin the entire install.

You get my admiration for trying

Now that you've done it once can you afford to do it again and take more time to control the adhesive? The pictures look like you got that adhesive in a lot of areas that are visible. If that is the case and you're happy with it so be it. I am curious though about why you decided to do this in the first place. Are there other items in your car that are Suede or Alcantara??

Ummmm...the stuff that Joe did on George's car looks AMAZING. Big difference in materials, too.

Good attempt, but it looks a bit rushed friend. The material doesn't look very nice imo... but I could be biased, I'm not a fan of suade on cars at all....

ok thanks for all the comments guys. Let me be clear about this project--it was a test to see how suede looks on the inside of the car. OFCOURSE I WOULD GET IT DONE PROFESSIONALLY if i really wanted to keep it there forever. I'm removing it anyway and was just curious to know how suede looked/felt on the inside of the car. I cant really afford to buy expensive suede and then install it myself. I bought some off ebay for that very reason. Im getting a whole bunch of work done to my car in the coming months and one of them is re-wrapping the interior with some better leather and suede accents. professionally ofcourse. but thanks for the input-even though some of you guys are pretty negative about trying something yourself. i respect and appreciate all comments and opinions. :amen:

Coming from someone whose done this before it does get much much easier after the first attempt. Don't be afraid to give it another go.

Oh my. It looks very huggy bearish for those who remember Starsky and Hutch. Yeah, the show with the red Torino!
