I recently sold my GT350 and have lucked upon an opportunity for a base GT500 at msrp. It's already ordered but per the factory I have two weeks to change the color, options to my choosing. Would this be a 2020 model or a 2021? Thanks for any feedback.

That depends on the allocation since 21 banks opened up recently, only the dealer who has the allocation knows this answer.

I like to disassemble things.
It'd be a '20 if the order was actually submitted from the dealer into the system. Dealers cannot order a '21 yet. (In before we hear "but I already ordered a '21 at my dealer and gave them a $5,000 deposit, so you are wrong).

Regarding color, Iconic all the way. When you see every color combination at the same time and then look at the silver it is in another league (and mine is Oxford White). I'd get it without stripes and add them later if I had to have them.

Sorry, your going to have to make this decision on your own. Too much subjectivity for you to get a real answer. Here comes my subjectivity, just to prove a point.

I was torn between Ford Performance Blue, and Iconic Silver. I pretty much flipped a coin. I also went to the Track Attack, and saw all the colors in person for the first time. I was 100% unimpressed with Iconic. It was the most blah in my opinion. For me, I was glad the proverbial coin ended up FPB.

Jaime, you never told me you were color blind.

See my avatar but I love the classic look even if it's oxford white and not Wimbledon White .

Thank you all for the responses. I was hoping for a 2020 because I am partial to the Rapid Red but I haven't decided on the color yet. Iconic is my second choice - I really like the way it looks with the black contrast(hood vent & front bumper) on the car. My last 3 trucks have been silver and they are just easy to keep clean. Will let you know what I decide and really looking forward to the getting in the car!

While it's subjective, I think there's some peripheral design elements that work better/worse with different exteriors.

The seats always have that light gray trim, it's neutral , but can still work better with some colors. The brakes are always red, very red, close to Race Red, so when you get those sort of almost-the-same-but-not-quite color combinations, I don't dig on it (i..e, Rapid Red).

Also, as you move to a lighter color, the exterior black components are going to be more visible, so if you're a bit fan of really contracting design details, it makes a big difference.

The red brakes (and interior slight gray/black) work fantastically well on the all the "gray scale" exterior colors, especially silver and gray, and both of those still let all the vents, etc., really pop, white obv. is the most contrasting, but some folks consider that a "non-color" (it's solid on the GT500, I'd do light gray stripes with it). Add some additional red highlights like the bumper letting, etc., those are winners.

Congrats and truly exciting times for you and really can’t go wrong either way IMO. Just driving this car will no matter what make you proud and happy to be part of the rare Club. I actually ordered Iconic but stumbled onto Magnetic and extremely happy with her even though I would have never ordered that color. Good luck and welcome aboard keep us updated.

There is a 10 year warranty on the film. There are a couple of place around the blinkers on the inside corners where the film seems to be coming up. I will be seeing them next week to get it fixed. They rapped the film around all the edges and I haven’t noticed any edges coming up.

All in all I think they did a great job.
