Base GT with Auto, Recaros and 3.55 rear end. I also went with a spoiler delete but Im not sure if that counts. Was thinking about the premium at first but then decided the Recaros were a neat option and since they wont be heated or cooled in any trim theres no point in going premium. This interior is already so much better then my 2013 GT ever was so Im pretty happy with it. The only other option I would have liked is the bigger touch screen and better sound system. Im sure aftermarket will have it covered soon but getting it from the factory would have been nice.
A clone!

Its from here. Easy to find. Speaking of GT vs GT. A member here weighed his base right at 3600 lbs.

Motor trend CURB WEIGHT 3814 lb
Both Ford and BMR have weighed the base GT at 3705 and 3704 respectively. To try and say that it weighs 3,600 is pure BS. I'm sure Ford would rather that be true also but it's not.

Edmund's (link below) weighed their fully loaded premium manual PP GT at 3,805 and BMR weighed their base manual PP at 3,736 that is only a difference of 69lbs.

Don't listen to ppl who spread false info to make themselves feel better

Edit: on top of that we don't know how much gas was in Edmund's car which could easily account for most of the difference

He weighed his base non performance pack. Again no performance pack base with cloth. Noob.

That is beside the point completely because both of the cars I compared are PP cars. I'll quote myself again since you posted a pointless response

And by having a base you're saving how much weight exactly?
Read your own question. The 160 was based on fully optioned weight vs base weight. Move on.

The truth finally comes out. You got the car to pick up chicks with prissy fluff, not for performance.
I got it for MY wants and for the performance no need to pick up women already got the best one, I can't stand cloth or the base interior, plus this is my daily and I want comfort and all the goodies, the nav and screen were a must for me. if I wanted only performance I would pick up a 2011 base GT for 19-20k and put 10k into it and make over 600rwhp for under 30k

Can't tell if this guy is joking or he is that deeply in denial so I'll just quote myself again

I'll keep it quite simple for you. You need it. This isn't a PP comparison. You asked why the large 160+ weight difference? I replied with the facts of a topped out PP GT loaded vs the LOWEST weight base GT stripper. Thanks for playing. Lol

although i coudlnt care less about weight, even i understood what you meant when you first posted that.

you'll always get this kind of scrutiny from the defenders of the premium pack. it's always the same people.

You also supplied 3600 as the lowest weight base GT stripper weight and that is totally false info.

Both Ford and a parts manufacturer (BMR) both have that at over 3700lbs. Its kind of funny to see someone who knows their wrong attempt to use personal attacks to cover their bs

Quoting my niece "OMG lolz"

I left the thread unread for one might and it has become
a thread about weight and how to pick up a woman?

Let me make it easy for you.

Unless you are a hard core tracker, you won't feel the 160 lbs weight difference because likely you wont push into the car's limit. The limitation is the driver and the other passerby drivers who block your lanes (disclaimer: always obey the street laws and don't street race).

Now I am a happily married man, but when single I would have never used my cars to get a woman, especially on Mustang: questionable quality.

And going back to the original thread: I have and haven't made up my mind. I have made up my mind that for a S550 Mustang I will need to special order a 6mt with PP and Recaro (and maybe some other small options that I think I would need and if i should go premium or not. Now inclining to non premium). However, I haven't made up my mind if I m gonna get one. Nothing wrong with the car. Loving it with PP.. I am like a coach now trying to think about my line up now since I have multiple cars, 3 with 425+ hp. How I would position the Mustang? Another toy, a daily driver, or what, but this is a question I can really answer.

For those who have helped me with this thread, especially those who PM me, my sincerest thank you. I ll let this thread to change into one about weight and picking up women again :clap2::lol:

Seems like TX folks be getting them great prices.
Think I got about average.

$32,500 for the Base, totally minimalist. Only option was floormats. weighed in at 3575 with a 1/4 tank at the Texas SCCA Solo Champ tour.

Look at her now...

I'm keeping pretty tight track of weight and this is all I've done for reduction or addition so far.
