Stripped Down "Poverty Specs"

I have been looking around and couldn't find an 6MT GT with Performance Package and Recaro Seats. Unbelievable, as this is a major urban area, Orange County in Southern California.

Which brings me to these 2 possible reasons:
1) People here who bought the GT bought one with Performance Package (I know that the Recaro is not to everyone's liking, but I expected that at least some percentage of people like the Performance Package).
2) The people who place orders to Ford at the dealers don't see the merit of ordering the Performance Package, thinking people won't like it.

So, if any of you who read this and living in OC (or even the Greater LA area) knows which dealer has such car please let me know. Much appreciated.

I have a base GT, PP, and Recaros. Glad I got that. I didn't want leather, the only option I wanted from premium was the big screen, mainly because it just looks better. Still, not worth $4,000.

This. Except I have an Ecoboost.

Is it bad that the main reason I want a premium over the base is the screen? I find the base screen and surrounding buttons look horrible compared to the premium.

No toggle switches in the base really depressed me. But the screen sold me. I think the car is a great value for the money, and the screen really makes the interior look nice and competitive to the other luxury focused brands.

It does have the enhanced alarm, but I can tell you from experience it can come in handy.

That's exactly the GT that I ordered, and my only regret was the fact that Ford decided to remove the rear diffuser for an incomplete look....the rest is all good.

I will test drive a PP GT before the end of the week. My 2 fav makes now are alan mulally/mark field's One Ford and Akio Toyoda's Lexus.

So it pained me, as a 65 Mustang (roadrace rodded), a 69 cougar (cruiser), 14 Fiesta ST (canyon carver) to say that non- PP GT failed to impress me. I hope a PP GT will be. I am afraid that I will be only satisfied with a special model (shelby, boss,'cobra).


If not, then I might just get a PP ecoboost as a daily driver later. I like the lighter front end and it is easier to mod a turbo car anyway.
