I broke the tires loose on the 3-4 shift on the way home. 69 degrees just isn't enough with these tires.

I get sideways pretty often even when temperatures are in the mid 60's and its not fun. Cant wait to get new tires.

The stock p zeros are complete shit . In twisties their actually good but for drag racing their the worst of the worst . If you think their bad now ... wait till you add a few mods . I don't bother flooring it in 1st anymore

Yes, yes the stock tires are squirrely. Because 435+HP.

I doubt the MPS4Ss will do much better in that department either, given the car will have even more power.

Tire compound can make a HUGE difference in traction. I would expect a significant difference between the MPS4 and the Pirelli.

ok, when I was fiddlin with the gauges, they were at 38, with the fronts bouncing between 39-40.

Since my bonus was only 40% of last year, all I can do is tint and black badges and maybe the vinyl tint kit if I don't eat for a week.

I found the stock Pirelli's to be pretty "meh". Tirerack reviews seem to back up my sentiments, for whatever that's worth.

Recommended is 32 on the door jamb. Are you saying you got better traction going to 39-40? Makes no sense.

wore out stock pirellis in 17k miles, didn't think i was driving that aggressive. Getting a set of G force comp 2 a/s. tire rack gives them good reviews

Rear tires or both? My rears were [legally] gone after just over 10K, but I pushed them to about 12-13K before finally replacing them. I don't think I drive super aggressive on the street, but I do have some fun... Granted, I had two track days on those tires (probably about 350-400 or so track miles by my guess?), but that's still pretty crappy life. I'm at about 16K miles now, and the fronts still have maybe 10% of their life left.
