Hey everyone just wanted to give a quick review on my tire upgrade with autocross as the test. In both videos I have H&R sport springs.
Stock tires: 255 40 19
1.Warmed up a lot faster
2. Lacked grip on long turns (understeer)
3. Lacked grip on hard turns (oversteer) fun!!!
4. Less confidence because of grip
PSS: 255 35 19
1. Not being able to warm them up played a small issue.
2. Grip was good on long turns but understeer still present. (strut tower bar?)
3. Oversteer is there if needed, but definitely harder to get it there.
4. More confidence in the turns, and pushing more speed through them as well.

What was the difference in laptimes?
Can't really compare them since they were 10 seconds apart. The reason being the track was shorter and faster. However, from experience I can tell you I did drop about 2 seconds from my times with the tires.

Nice...no doubt the pirellis suck...u were right about the summary u made about them. I've experienced the same characteristics with them on some clover leafs and on the streets.

Yeah they have benefits and drawbacks, I'm now still trying to figure out the understeer of this car. :tsk:
After the oil cooling from Mishimoto I will probably get into buying a rear sway bar.

Start with getting a performance alignment ...but that will be on the type of track layout..

A stiffer swaybar may just increase understeer...And also check your tire pressure after heating up the tires then start reducing accordingly...

Talk about David vs Goliath.
Well actually, David was a well trained soldier. Goliath was a brute force fighter, so I think David had the advantage. :headbang:
Anyway, the tires didn't make a HUGE difference but big enough to notice!

Goliath was a highly trained and revered Solider while David was a 15yr old Shepherd who never had fighting experience but was protected by God, Logged in to tell you that. :)
