Change the transmission oil with a good DCTF oil and you'll love it even more. Just did mine after 30k miles, big difference with smoothness.

It downshifts automatically for you. It’s still a manual with a little bit of cheating. I drove my cousins procharged gen 3 manual and it felt a lot different than a standard manual.

I learned to drive a stick in a friends 1974 MGB midget convertible when I was 20. I’m 6’4” so I looked like driving a clown car 😂 and it was on hilly streets in Pennsylvania. Stalled out every 10’ 😂 that was in 1977 and I’ve owned a few manuals since then…..68 fastback, 71 Cougar and 70 Torino Cobra 429SCJ….all with top loader 4 speeds and a 69 GMC 1500 with three on the tree. The cobra had a 4500 lb pressure plate and was a beast to drive in traffic. Tried teaching my wife to drive it but the clutch was very hard to engage and she gave up.
I bought my previous 06 GT new as an auto because I thought my wife would drive it but that didn’t happen. This time around I ordered my 21 GT/ CS with the MT 82. Haven’t driven a stick since I sold my Cobra in 1989. Was a bit apprehensive. I stalled the 21 once pulling out of the dealer when I picked it up 😆 after that it was like riding a bike. This is the easiest manual I ever drove. It’s easy on the leg even in traffic. I know a lot of owners trash the MT82 but I’m ok with it. Had a couple of 2nd to 3rd lockouts but I feel it was operator error 😃 At 68 I’m no longer tearing up the streets….just enjoy the 460 Hp Coyote and the fun of tooling around in a stick. Happy mustang owner.

I too am enjoying the heck out of the MT. It’s been about 20 years of autos before this. I had a handful of stick shifts prior to that, but nothing this smooth and user friendly with the assists. I learned on my grandpa’s 60 something Ford pickup with the three on the tree. I must have stalled it 20 times before I got the feel of that stiff clutch.

I am picking my car up from 5 months of storage this Wednesday. It snowed last night and is supoosed to tonight as well. I am hoping the roads do not get the brine treatment. My leg will have to relearn the clutch engagement spot again.

The dump trucks I drove along with all the other trucks gave me aome knee issues but thankfully that was 30 years ago. Lol
