Proud to see a production Mustang right out of the showroom floor with mods you can afford, compete with purpose built GT4 Cayman Porsche costing four times as much!
The Aluminator is not exactly affordable nor showroom floor but sure. Also to be fair you needed 580 HP to compete with a GT4 Cayman that is making 425 HP. Ether way great result and I really admire your perseverance in racing a Mustang. Love the build.

In our configuration we are producing under 500 hp to the rear wheels. The Porsches definitely had more power coming off the corners and on the straightaways and banking. We made up the time in braking and cornering. The lap times were under a second per lap difference, it was a nail bitter. Video to follow.

@SteedaTech

Unless I missed it reading through, what was the final EPAS fix to the reliability concerns with the unit going to "manual mode" and also running the car after it completely failed?

This was noted in your posts 249, 251 and 256.

If you could post up a detailed synopsis of the issue, clarify how it was going to "manual mode" and the resulting fix that would be great.

Thanks!

Any advantage the Cayman has on acceleration would be due to weight, not power. They're not light by any means, just lighter (and less aero drag) than a Mustang. A tuned (i.e. Not GT4 legal) Cayman GT4 MR with the side air intake makes ~440-450 HP.

Getting the #20 car ready for Daytona this weekend.
Re- designed fuel system to handle the Hi-Bank,will be tested this weekend. We will see how low we can run on fuel before the centrifugal force takes effect. Hopefully we can get over 45 min without starvation. We are running a production tank, with a modified pump canister and return system.

Is there a car equivalent to the foam blocks we use in motorcycle tanks to significantly reduce or stop sloshing?

Had foam in a fuel cell once, it started to disintegrate, after a while. He posted it's a production fuel tank.

@ Steeda

Like the rear side window, is it a painted lexon piece ? Some enterprising person should produce just the black border with rivets.

Make a vinyl stick on, better look then the current crop of choices.

Good luck with the testing.. when is race day ?

Foam does cut down on sloshing in a fuel cell, but cannot control centrifugal force when the fuel climbs up the tank away from the pick up.

So? You can shove foam blocks in there through the fuel pump opening.

I knew that, did not want foam, not a sound practice long term. Also about the only way to know its happening. Is after the fuel filter begins to restrict flow. And no those glass deals are worthless in to many ways to count.

LMAO
