For a daily driver GT, what spring rate should I be aiming for? When would you use a lower, vs. higher rate?

I currently have Eibachs which are great stiffness that I'd like to mimic in the future.

For great street manors 200 to 250 lbs/in

For ontrack events 300 to 350 lbs/in

We have rates with 50 lb/in increments from 150 to 400 lbs/in

150 lbs/in is used mostly for drag race applications.

These are purpose built coilovers for the S550, not generic or one size fits all.

Thanks,

Mike D

On the Eco-Boost we found a good combo 250 lbs/in front and 998 lbs/in rear. This combo is more oriented for handling and a good choice for HPDE events

Less, hpde more street, I. Need the rears to match the 175 -200lbs range , it would help if I had the rates I can do some cyphering then

200lb/in will pair nicely with Steeda Ultralite Linear rear springs (which are 874 or 880lb/in) according to my calculations.

On my eco I'm changing up my springs for 225F and 980R. The 200F/880R combo has roughly the same ride frequency relationship between front and rear.

SteedaTech, I need a rear spring to go with your coilover for 175 or 200lbs/in,
Thank you

You'll want a spring in the 800lb/in range for the rear.

Yes I've been using the table you made, it's quite good, but I don't know which one of Steedas rear eco springs to use ,just trying to get a spring rate to make an informed decision .

For Steeda springs, either will work. The Sport Linear and Ultralite Linear have the same rate and drop, though are not sold rear separate officially. I'm sure if you contacted Steeda they'd sell you some. Otherwise there's the SP088.

Yes, we can sell the rear only of the sport linear 800lb/in. It will not have the adjustable spring seat, but you can set up the front for your desired
ride height to work with the rear spring. The adjustable rear Pro-Action shock is the same in both kits.

SteedaTech did not see the question.

For drag racing what settings would you set your shocks too, both front and rear on the adjustables?
