Well I just received my brand new ultralites straight from Steeda a week ago. Hoping that I have the new version. @tj@steeda how do I know that I've received the most recent?
Yes, you did receive the new version if you purchased them from Steeda.

Just installed Ultralite's and Steeda sways yesterday. Initial drive today I was happy with the ride. I'll have it at Sebring in a couple of weeks. I'll be able to talk about handling after that. Can't really get it to the limits on the street.

Looks great, are you running spacers?

New version? I ordered mine on 8/27 direct from Steeda? What is the difference between the new and old? I reread this thread, but I must have completely missed it if it was mentioned. Do I have the old or new?

Installed a week ago and then aligned. Initially the drop was a lot more than I expected (may have been the old design, ordered through AM) but I was perfectly okay with it. After a week everything is settled out and I've added rear camber arms (thanks again Steeda!) and I'm getting my rear camber re-adjusted today.

Overall with the Ultralight Linears and stock Base dampeners I've got no complaints. I will say your alignment seems to have the biggest impact on ride quality once it's dropped. With the factory camber arms and ~ -1.9 and -2.2 on the rear wheels it rode fine and there was very little bounce. I installed the rear camber arms, and it added a little bounce but the rear toe and camber is out a good bit.

As far as stance goes I'm happy with it. Overall the car is more level, though the wheel gap is bigger at the front with 305/35/20 in back and 265/35/20 in the front it doesn't bother me at all. I swear sight down the hood is better now as well.

As far as performance goes I can't say anything yet as I wanted to get an alignment before I push the car, but I haven't noticed any traction issues or rubbing even having hit a few pot holes.

Pictures in order are full factory, just the ultralites installed, then ultralites, camber arms, and new wheels.

Springs with alignment will run about 4 hours - depends on your pricing in your area.

tj@steeda - I bought mine in late may. Old version?
Yes, you have the early version we still offer both, the choice for road racers is running the early version with the 3/16 inch rear spacer. The reason we don't have the drag race look on our handling springs is because we like more 50/50 weight distribution for handling. The more you jack up the rear end, the more weight you transfer to the front wheels which is not desirable for optimum Handling.

Check out this article below by one of the most respected critics, Evan Smith in the Mustang and S550 market. The vehicles featured had the early Ultra-lights.
