Posted this elsewhere but figure it would come in handy here too!
I worked in a vinyl shop for about five years and unfortunately this is very very common. While every manufacturer will give you different ratings on how long they will last, 3-5 years is typically a good range to expect for...
Driven there multiple times for work and it never seemed too bad. Then again all of the people from our Houston office hate where I live in comparison. I'd jay JB1 is right, knowing your way around is the key.
Finally got a chance to take it out on our local test road that's popular with car clubs, heck even GM brought the latest gen Vette down and ran it on this one.
Performance wise, WOW. The car is much more settled and transitions with no roll at all. No squat on hard acceleration and nose...
Installed a week ago and then aligned. Initially the drop was a lot more than I expected (may have been the old design, ordered through AM) but I was perfectly okay with it. After a week everything is settled out and I've added rear camber arms (thanks again Steeda!) and I'm getting my rear...
Finally got the springs, arms, and new wheels and tires on. Semi Crappy pic but I'm an awful photographer with a phone, still love taking pictures of the car though!
Ultralights for the first step!
Finally got my new springs in and both me and the shop were shocked at the difference. They ended up having to lift the car three times until they finally got enough boards under to pull the lift! Very happy with the drop, now I just need to hit a sale or...
Not a day one watch for me but it looks entertaining. I'll definitely go see it in theaters once some of the hype dies down and the theater isn't packed.
265 Width would be the narrowest I would feel safe about running on a 10.5" wheel, some shops may feel differently.
I'd say a 275/35 in back 265/35 in front would be the most economical option.
As far as the Sumitomo goes I went with them on my 14 GT with 20" wheels. I didn't know much about...
Yes it was! It was also capable (on most sheets) of producing 1 more horse and 1 more ft/pound of torque than the mazda designed 1.8 4-banger. I knew a couple guys who used to swap to the 1.8 6 because they were cheap, and the mounts between it and the 3.0 V6 were similar.
Edited cause I...
I haven't before, though I'd imagine the steam would help out. Some of the older vinyl that's been through the ringer but was originally high quality was a bear to clean. Worst job we had was a local school's band trailer. About seven years old, covered in tiger stripes. Peeled the vinyl and...
DIY!

Costs will vary shop to shop...
