I've got the sport progressive springs as well. I messaged you last year about those isolators that wrap around the coils (because the website had them pictured on the sport progressives, but my springs never came with any. When i sent you a pm, you told me that the technical guy at steeda said the sport progressive don't use them.) Which is it I'm wondering now? I haven't installed mine yet and after hearing this I wouldn't mind more confirmation if possible because I'll be paying a shop $$ to do this and want it right the first time. Thank you.
The progressives don't require them - they are not in the kits and the picture may have been added from another photo shoot promoting the isolators - resend me your contact info to [email protected] and I'll have the team write up an order.

So TJ, I'm confused. You're saying the progressives don't come with them, but that I should add them to solve my issue?

@AZ RYAN,

Diagnosing a squeak from springs installed by a previous owner—especially after re-evaluating the installation with a mechanic—can be challenging.

Here are some common issues we’ve seen and our recommendations to help identify and resolve the problem:

  • Incorrect Spring Orientation: Springs can sometimes be installed upside down. Check how the spring sits in the lower spring isolator bushings on the strut. If the spring overhangs the isolator, it may be upside down.

  • Misalignment: Ensure the upper spring seat is properly aligned with the upper strut mount or camber plate.

  • Spring Coil Contact: Inspect the spring coils for any rubbed or missing paint, which could indicate the coils are touching. If this is happening, please send us pictures via email.

  • Additional Considerations: Check torque settings, camber plates, and other suspension components that could contribute to the noise.
Spring isolators are a common and inexpensive upgrade that may help resolve the issue, though they are not included with our Progressive Springs kits.

For further assistance, you can reach our sales team at 1-800-950-0774. However, since these springs were previously installed and may not have come from Steeda, diagnosing the exact cause without full knowledge of all modifications can be difficult.

Let us know how we can help!

All the above had been verified.

Do you have a link for the isolators?

Typically, they are a call-in order, but I am trying to get them added to the website for easier ordering. If you are free, you can call & ask for John at 1800 950 0774 & he can help get you squared away.

I don't know that they'll be added that quickly, just to give you a heads-up.

I appreciate that but I bought the car with the springs already on the car. Product 555-8242.

Do your rear springs have isos on? Maybe that's your issue?

Can you <CAREFULLY> bounce the front end and hear it Ryan? I'm sorry if you said before...

My rear springs aren't making noise. Everything is upfront.
10 4. Just making sure. Noises can trick you sometimes with their direction.

Hope you get this resolved quickly. Keep us updated.

There has been a bit of an update. To answer you question, when I previously pushed on the drivers side (it took a bit of force) I was able to get a faint reproduction of the squeak.

However, in the last week the squeak has settled down and mostly gone awaway. I went over a speedbump trying to reproduce the noise, and ever since then it's been pretty much gone. 🤷‍♂️

I do still hear some faint bushing squishing, which I assume is the isolators, but its not obtrusive. For not I'm going to cross my fingers and hope the main squeak doesn't come back. If it does, I'll probably tear everything out and go back to OEM.

Well, out of the blue the front end started squeaking again yesterday. Today I drove the car quite a bit and it's as loud as ever. Before I only heard it at slow speeds, say under 40, now I can hear it going down the road at 50 plus.

I'm seriously at my wits end with this. It's affecting my enjoyment of the car. I've spent so much money between camber plates, reinstalling springs, and alignments that I don't know what the next step is.

Part of me wants to just rip all this steeda shit off my car and go back to stock. At least then I could take it to a dealer.

The best & final advice I can give you is to call our team & ask for Mike D. or Jamie - they are our lead techs & give you any & all feedback before you go back to stock.

You can reach them at 1800 950 0774.

Best,
