Really? You don't know what you're talking about.
It's easy to identify which rail go goes where because of the angle iron ends.
...
I'd ignore him. Either he thought he was being funny, or he was off base. I'd be lying if I said I noticed mine were different sizes.

I had mine on the ground when installing and I could still see up underneath, so it wasn't by feel only. I read the instructions just enough, and matched the angles. I used the bolts that I pulled out instead of the included Steeda bolts, because the Steeda bolts were shorter.

I'm going to order some of these soon. Sounds like Steeda should create some printed instructions and include them with their product. That would certainly lead to higher customer satisfaction, less confusion and avoid them being called out in threads like this. Problem solved!

I am curious if they will trap salt water slush where it shouldn’t be, I will keep them lubed up with fluid film.

There are pretty clear written instructions except for not mentioning that one rail is shorter and the other. And the pictures could be better
The top logo pic of the product is different then what's in the box. It shows one hole as slotted differently then what it really is.
That was one of my concerns.
I think I'll do as JeffreyDJ did and used the three factory bolts

Oh ! There aren't any torque specs. The video I watched said something about 45 lbft.

I found this video of how to install without being on your back. LOL, Leave to the older generation to figure out an easier way

This mod does not need instructions. If you ever had an erector set you have the skill set required to install jacking rails. Line up the holes, put in the bolts. ;)

Even this guy makes it harder than it needs to be.

If you point the rails with the short bracket fwd and the bracket lip to the inside they can only be oriented one way. This part IS in the instructions. Doesn't matter if they're different lengths. The bolt holes will simply line up. If you don't orient them correctly the holes won't line up. It's that simple...

First, get a decent set of ramps. Don't do this by feel or with a hand mirror. You really don't need that if you have a decent set of ramps, and having ramps for things like oil changes, and other simple stuff where you'd rather not lift the car is a must with these cars being so low to the ground. And if you're planning on working on this car for other stuff a good set of ramps is something you'll need in your garage.

Another reason to get ramps (and this is the non-erector set part of the install) you have to trim the seam seal in the fronts. It's thick, in the way, and will prevent your bracket from sitting flush against the body and pinch weld, and you won't be able to cut/scrape that away looking at a reflection or "by feel". I trimmed mine with a razor blade, so instead of cutting my damn fingers off I put the front of the car on ramps so I could see what I was doing.

Second, there's no reason why you can't use the hardware included in the kit. The hardware in the kit are grade-8. Bonus for strength. Use them.

Finally, use some threadlocker blue on the bolts. The factory bolts had thread locker added, and whenever I see that I usually think to myself "that's done for a reason" and do what they do.

So I put the car up on the ramps, "dry fit" both rails with all four bolts after I trimmed the seam seal out of the way, then went one bolt at a time, added some threadlocker blue, and torqued to 45 ft/lbs. Drove off the ramps. Done. It took me about 45 minutes, and that included me teaching my 10-year-old son at the same time.

Just wanted to thank everyone for their input! We provide the shorter bolts because the longer bolts are not required. Plus, weight is the enemy of performance, even though this is quite minimal,in the end everything adds up.
