Steeda Jacking rails dilemma

I made mine just below the pinch weld :

But it was done more for protection rather than foresight - nice to see I got an additional unexpected bonus ! :like:

To those that have jacking rails...what prevents you from putting a jack stand under the jacking rail and not using the pinch weld? I spoke to both KB and Steeda yesterday and both said the jacking rails can be used to support the car on jack stands.
This... me thinks some gents are overthinking the process a little.

use the rails.

@OP, I have the same problem with Steeda jacking rails. The rails are angled, so if i place the jack stands directly underneath rails only one end of the rail makes contact with the curvature of the jack stand. I started using the pinch welds for jack stands and use the rails only to jack the car up quickly
