Finally got around to installing my Steeda jacking rails today. Definitely another quality Steeda product. I do have one question/observation. The Steeda instructions, as well as the 2018 install video I watched, both show the correct install is with the tapered edge to the inside of the vehicle and the flat edge up against the pinch weld (talking about the edges at the ends of the rails). CJ makes what looks like an identically shaped jacking rail, but they show to install the tapered edge up against the pinch weld and the flat edge toward the inside of the vehicle (just the opposite of the Steeda ones). Honestly, having the tapered edge up against the pinch weld seems to me the better of the two methods as it would protect a little more of the pinch weld. Any ideas why Steeda would recommend installing with the tapered edges toward the inside of the vehicle instead of up against the pinch welds?
