Re-Coating is definitely not the way to go. If you wanted to do your own powder coating you should get them un coated. Removal of powder coat requires some pretty serious chemicals or a ton of sand blasting. I've done both. With a good PC gun you can get another coat or two on top of the current coating. I agree on the color. Grey isn't the best color but it does show if it's dirty. A matte black would hide the best.

Well I had bought some, then the retailer declined my order due to a pricing discrepancy on their behalf (I selected them as they were 'cheap' ... )

So, back to the drawing board, but still going with Steeda ...

Any forum / package prices for me over in the UK ? I am after the IRS braces, the bushing support things, the IRS dowels and the front brace (still unsure on 2 or 4 point).

I already have the rear diff inserts

When i received mine in the post al the edges were chipped, so had no choice but to paint. Did 3 coats of primer on the chipped areas, an extra coat of primer over the whole thing, then 3 coats of black paint, then 3 coats of clear coat.
Hopefully they wont be rusting any time soon

I’m thinking that the chipping of the powder coating is likely caused by improper prepping of the metal’s surfaces (i.e., sandblasting and degreasing). My Steeda driveshaft safety loop has chipped powder coating on one of the edges.

My BMR 005 mounts came in a black hammer tone coating on my 16.
After 1 winter they had a light coating of rust all over them.
Didn't seem like anything to worry about, and they are invisible!e under the car

Iv'e still got a few things to sort - I'm pretty sure I'm going to go down the powder coat route and I'm missing a few fittings that Steeda are looking into
