I have a Steeda, I like it, Fit and finish is OEM'ish. Sounds good and I am sure it is making some extra HP.

A lot of people run the JLT with positive results.

It will be a toss up honestly...

The Steeda CAI is top notch & we are very proud to say that it is Designed, Engineered, Manufactured in the U.S. and Track Tested & Backed by Steeda - we are very confident in our product.

Some points on the Steeda CAI:

-- The Steeda CAI utilized the OE cold air feed and a large surface area high*-flow nano-*fiber air filter

-- It includes our famous ‘race-*tested’ velocity stack entry.

-- Comes with an advanced heat shield with a durable rubber gasket to seal the shield against the vehicle’s hood.

-- Our precision CNC mass air housing provides the cleanest mass air signal on the market, resulting in smooth off*-throttle to on-*throttle response.

-- Steeda’s S550 CAI utilizes a removable restrictor which allows you to benefit from immediate hp/tq gains, without a tune!

Versus the competition, these were the results:

Steeda’s ProFlow S550 Mustang GT Cold Air Intake Comparison: Restrictor without Tune
In our cold air intake dyno shoot-*out between Steeda, brand ‘R’ and brand ‘A,’ all of which have a restrictor in place without a tune, Steeda’s S550 ProFlow Cold Air Intake dominated the competition putting down 414 rwhp and 387 ft/lb tq! This is a 22 hp and 18 ft/lb tq gain over our stock baseline dyno pull.

Steeda CAI with restrictor and no tune: 414 rwhp and 387 ft/lb tq
Brand ‘R’ CAI with restrictor and no tune: 404 rwhp and 375 ft/lb tq
Brand ‘A’ CAI with restrictor and no tune: 403 rwhp and 373 ft/lb tq
You won't be disappointed in the Steeda unit - p.m. sent!

I dont recall seeing Steedas track testing of the S550 CAI. Please post all your results and info. Thanks
Search. There are hundreds of posts on Steeda and their information they have shared on their CAI. You're running JLT anyway.

We frequent Sebring & other tracks - both in GA & FL for our individual testing - we don't publicize every time we hit the track for testing & at times, we are doing it in conjunction with other tests.

Here are just a few when we invited key partners or friends of the media to take the cars out on the track:

To test the parts at the track, more notably Sebring is key when developing parts for both the street & track. If they can hold up at Sebring ... then we are confident they have passed the test.

Why Sebring - here is a quote from Road & Track that sums it up:
You say Sebring's battered old concrete runways are too bumpy, that they could shake a poor race car to pieces? Jawohl, Monsieur! Quite the point, old chap.
That is our commitment to you, the customer -- we aren't just testing the parts on the street & giving them the stamp of approval - we have made the commitment to test them beyond that.

Hang on...removing the restrictor on the Steeda CAI REQUIRES a tune.

...Unless you guys have done something new recently?

(I have a Steeda CAI with restrictor removed, Steeda tune w/SCT X4. Runs great! Personally I don't see much purpose in a CAI unless you also go with a tune and in this case take advantage of more air tune with the restrictor removed.)

Nice looking engine bay, good stuff.

And to the OP, I like my Steeda CAI, as well as all my Steeda mods. But, the other companies have good stuff, too. Lots of good choices to pick from.

That's negative, Steeda has never posted their own track testing results done by Steeda specifically on their S550 CAI.

Regardless of what I'm running now, I thought if such tests and data existed it would be interesting info.

I'm sure everyone is sick of the topic and generally understands that all these CAI's will perform within a couple hp of each other, regardless of what the manufacturer would like you to believe.
