Did you disconnect the negative terminal of the battery before the installation as well?

Yes sir, I will even do this with catback installs as well. I know there's been discussion on whether it's required but I believe it helps the ECU recognize the change upon re-start. I wouldn't have done this if I was going the tuned version as the ECU is being re-programmed by the tuner.

I noticed today after Steeda that my Inlet temp was 138 in traffic, 78 over ambient. Is this OK? Higher than I ever had with stock box.

When you're in traffic it's going to rise, completely normal. You're going to want to keep an eye on how fast it drops once you start moving again, it's going to be faster than with the stock box. Cruising you should be 7-10 over ambient conservatively.

i've been about 5-7ish over while driving... it's a consistent hold too so something must be working.

I m curious about the gt350 intake, it should show similar inlet air temps as the Roush and Steeda! If Ford doesn't see a problem with that type of design, then we should be good.

I installed the intake tonight, took about an hour. Then installed the Lund tune to go along with it. The worst part is that it is raining out.

Yeah not being able to make full horsepower potential whilst sitting stopped in traffic would be terrible.
