A few questions. What's the mm size before and after the insert? 22HP is this real with OUT a tune? Roush said 10 HP with no tune. I do like the look for sure! I'm going with this or Roush now, or I'll just wait and do the n gauge with JLT combo at the end of the year. I know all of these are great products.

The "no tune" CAI does not affect your A/F ratio. If you pull the restricter out you need a tune.

So do you know for a fact that pulling out the restrictor configures it the same as the tune required model? BTW I realize you didn't make this claim, I was just wondering if you happen to know.

It's the same model; the 'no tune' costs more simply because it has the insert.

Thanks. Thats what I suspected, just wanted to be sure. Might be a good option for those that may want to purchse the non-tune version for warranty reasons now and could always remove the insert and do a tune later on down the road.

Nobody can guarantee that, it's up to the dealer to decide if they want to accept any warranty claims you make. Everyone quotes the Magnuson/Moss warranty act however the actual burden of proof is always on the consumer, not the dealer, unless you want to fight it in court. They can deny warranty work at any time and then it's up to you if you want to waste time and money to fight them over it.

Best advice, if your warranty is more important than power and performance, keep your car stock. With that being said, I'd talk to your local servicing department and inquire about what mods they are willing to "look the other way" at and which ones they will raise eyebrows about.

Well to protect yourself whenever you take the car to the dealership for a service or warranty work, just put the stock intake back on?

You have to modify the stock intake to install the Steeda.

Steeda intake owners have to buy the oem intake parts to swap back to oem for services and in case of something goes wrong. Make your car stock as possible for service and warranty work.

No question about it, ours seals against the hood much better.

So my question is this, Im on the fence of buying this CAI. I currently have the SCT x4 and the corsa extremes. I have the canned tune on but I remember that when reflashing the ECU the only intake option on the SCT was for the JLT. I see Steeda offers 2 different versions of the CAI, one for a tune and one without a tune. If I buy the tune version how and where do I get the steeda tune option on my SCT tuner?

You have to modify the stock intake to install the Steeda.

You only mod the stock CAI feed, something the dealer might never even notice. The stock air box will bolt up just fine

To clarify, Steeda intake owners only remove the OEM resonator from the factory CAI feed - the only purpose of it is to reduce intake noise.
