I run 93 for the most part. My butt dyno tells me the car performs better and, supposedly, it gets better fuel mileage.
I'm not brand loyal to any particular station as long as they are a "Top Tier" retailer.

If I remember it has to do with emissions and elevation. Higher elevation, lower octane is all thats needed.
It's true, altitude is a "soft" octane boost in and of itself. But it seems like as soon as you get past western Kansas, there's no 93 to be found anywhere, even places that aren't that high up.

People also don't know that 87 fuels contain a lot of heavy ends, crap the refineries need to get rid of to maintain production inventories. I don't run 87 in anything. Also your top brands are in "top tier program". That is so you get quality fuel made to thier specs.. there is a lot to fuel people don't know. I ran the gasoline blender system for Sunoco for years.

Sure you do. Anything in the pump hose when you start pumping is what you get, which is usually 87. Yeah, it's a marginal amount in the grand scheme of things, but your car still has to burn it :)

You can run either, it’s not going to hurt the car at all of electing to use 87 octane.

I run Costco 91 because its alot cheaper and it's also a Top Tier fuel. I can get up to 94 elsewhere locally but I'm not spending the extra until I buy tires that can actually hook. More timing just means more spin for me with these damned Neros.

91 here in Idaho. I’ve been using Shell so far.

I like Costco's price but I get more timing with Sunoco.

I have to run at least 91 with my Ford Performance tune. I run 93 since that's what's here. I only get Shell gas.

I run Shell 91 if I can.
Shell specifies on their Canadian website that all Shell 91 Octane gas in Canada is ethanol-free, so that's a plus. (My understanding stateside is that, whether 91 at Shell is ethanol free, is dependent on station owner - perhaps someone can confirm that?)

Also, been driving less lately, and at some point had the car stored for almost 3 months, and filled the tank up prior to letting it sit, with Shell 91 due to no ethanol (in an effort to stave off deterioration, moisture absorption, etc.)
