I'd like ProCharger's opinion on the best set up for me. I am leanning towards the Stage 2, but please recommend based on:

- I do not want to go into the engine, the Max safe power for the stock internarls.
- Fuel 91 Octane.
- Hot weather months up to 100°F
- Daily driver at 5,000 ft above sea level.
- Occasional trips to sea level.
- I do not have a Tuner I could take the car for a Custom tune.

I want a simple system that I can install once and forget about it other than it's maintenance.
The HO system will be 110% fine for what you are wanting to do. :)
Here in KS it is normally 100+ degrees as well. (other then last summer)
Our designing of a system has to account for that, as it should.

Will the provided injector be enough though for a stage 2 system running a D1SC head unit? It seems like the ID1000/BAP route thats commonly found in the Paxton kits maybe the better way to go.
Just order the STG2 as a "tuner kit" meaning with out injectors and tuning.
(Which saves you $$$ on the system)

Your dealer can then provide you with larger injectors and tuning.
(as one dealer has already stated above)

This is all very good information, thank you. Please also let me know:

- What is the design boost for both HO and STG 2 systems at sea level?

- What would be the expected BOOST pressure loss at 5000 ft elevation vs sea level?

- Is Procharger's STG 2 Tune, as safe as the HO tune for 91 Octane?

I'm getting anxious to fill that void behind the front bumper witn an IC.

We spec every pulley for every order. So boost will be correct, no matter what elevation you are at. :)

8psi for the HO system
9psi for the STG 2 system

And yes, the grill looks mighty good with that big FMIC in it. :)
(Like it should have come factory)

Ill be ready for this come October. I can't freaking wait.

I am contemplating going this route, but do not know any shops around my area that vendor and install these systems. I live 60 miles south of Kansas City Missouri, so if you have any suggestions, that would be very appreciated.

Tim, you can use the dealer locator on our website to assist you.

http://www.procharger.com/superchargerdealers/find.shtml

Are you worried about not being able to do the install yourself?
Its very strait forward, and can be done in the garage without even lifting the car up on a jackstand. But if your looking for a turn key deal, I would suggest contacting one of our dealers closest to you. :)

Thanks!

Main thing I am worried about is the tune process. If I go with the Stage 2 does it come with a tuner and tune or will it require some shop Tuner time?

:Edit: Sorry just reread the original starting post and see that it comes with a tuner and default tune. Guess what I am wanting to know is would it be safer to get a custom tune or do you all stand by your tunes as beeing safe and reliable for daily driver STOCK engines.

We are 100% confident in the tunes that come included in the system. :)

I'm a little concerned about the 52-lb injectors that come with the HO/Stage2 kits. I did some calculation based on some fuel-injector size formula for superchargers and it seems to say 52-lb injectors are recommended up to 550 RWHP with 60-lb injectors for up to 632 RWHP. Also, at 9 PSI and the correct amount of fuel, looks like the stock tune on a phase 2 might be around 580 RWHP.

Do you know the RWHP I can get on 9 PSI with 52-lb injectors and your stock tune versus a custom tune on 9 PSI with 52-lb injectors? If I went to 60-lb injectors (http://www.americanmuscle.com/mustang-ev6-60-injectors.html?source=igodigital), do I get more RWHP at 9 PSI using a custom tune than I would with 52-lb injectors?

Details about the injector calculations I used can be found here: http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14927&page=19
Thanks!

A larger injector will just have a shorter pulsewidth to accommodate the same A/F. The opposite for smaller injectors. In other words, changing injector sizes doesnt itself change your power assuming proper fuel table calibration updates. What changes is your power potential.

Cost aside, there is little reason to not always just run the largest injector that both your combination of engine management and tuner can get a clean/smooth idle from. What starts to happen when you go too large on the injector size is that the injector will not consistently and reliably fire with as short of a pulsewidth that is desired to achieve target A/F at idle speed. With modern EMS this doesnt generally start to happen until you approach 100lb.

I would expect to get around 625-675rwhp out of 8x52lb injectors with a 11:1 compression SC'd engine with gasoline. But tuning can drastically alter fuel system headroom... example, more aggressive timing can net anywhere from 5-20hp or more from the same given quantity of air/fuel in the chamber.
