I took mine in for service today for a loud squeal that sounded like the wear indicator tabs on a disc brake pad contacting the rotor. They had it for about an hour and said that one of the disc brake shields/backing plates was making contact with the rotor. They readjusted it and so far, no more horrible noise.
So did the noise come back for those of you who's brakes were fixed? I met with some members today and one of them received new pads, rotors and calipers. Noise went away for him. Ford regional rep won't even allow me to get new rotors. LMAO! WHAT A JOKE!

So far, so good. Although the noise took a while to start in the first place. I'm definitely keeping an eye (ear?) On the issue.

Bummer. Hopefully Ford is working on finding the cause and issuing an actual fix.

Dealer called me back and said they reached out to Ford who responded by saying some breaking noise is normal on these cars. The service advisor responded to ford and said my car sounds like a freight train with the brakes locked up and no way is this normal. Ford then responded and said they are aware of a brake noise issue on the mustang and their engineers are working on it but do not have a remedy as of yet. The service advisor told me when they were looking at my car that the backing plate seemed awfully close to the front Roters so they adjusted that and after that they did not hear the noise anymore. They advised me to pick up my car and see if the noise is gone, if not gone we will wait to see what fix ford comes up with. All in all I can't complain about the service and effort yet. Park cities gave me a complimentary rental car and kept me in the loop throughout the day. Anyways, sucks not having my car for tonight, I can't wait to pick it up tomorrow even if it's still noisy!

Sorry to hear about this. Does this only happen when you're driving slow and brake? My car did this the first week I had it when I was driving very slowly, but it's gone away since then. Very cool that you have a dealer that is willing to stand up for you though. They are a keeper.

As luck would have it, mine did it this morning after pulling back in to the driveway. Twice in a row.

Yeah it usually happens when I'm driving slow and brake. It only happens the first few times I brake then it goes away. More embarrassing than anything, bad ass car that sounds like s**t
Hopefully ford fixes this soon!

Just wanted to chime in as well, mine makes a hideous squeal on the front left tire when I turn in slowly to a parking spot. Does anyone else's do this as well? It super loud and I feel bad coming home late from work because the neighbor's kids are sleeping...

That's what's happening to me. It's super annoying. Have you taken it in?

I have an appointment set up this weekend, hopefully they can replace both rotors and pads. My biggest qualm will be the dealers not being able to replicate this issue and/or brushing me off saying Ford has no fix for it.

Have them also replace the calipers. That's what I requested and I'm waiting to see if they approve it. I spoke to someone who had an Ecoboost and his noise went away after replacing the pads, rotors and calipers. Tell them you expect new rotors, not just to have them turned.

Thanks, I'll definitely push them for that if possible. I also raised this issue on twitter and got a response from @fordservice. If you guys want, I can link the tweets (nothing special, just them gathering my info for case gathering).

Definitely hit up their social media if you guys are having this problem. I googled "brake squeal 2015 mustang" and pretty much all the major mustang forums have threads filled with these (http://themustangsource.com/forums/f806/2015-gt-premium-squealing-front-brakes-533730/)

It seems like this has been a problem since the 09 mustangs as well, so unfortunately it doesn't look like ford will issue any official recalls or fixes...

I've scheduled an appt with a 3rd Ford Dealer to have my car checked on Monday. This dealer was able to eliminate the noise from a fellow member's car. Hopefully they're successful with mine. Someone from Ford called me today and tried telling me the same high performance brake pad noise is normal crap. But he even thought it was weird that my car does it mostly while turning to the left and at low speed braking. Wish me luck.

Something's not right if it's that loud. That's the bottom line.
