For me, it happens (noise only, no vibration) once or twice during slow-speed braking, but only after it has rained. It does not happen after sitting overnight while backing out of the garage.

It is pretty loud, but never does it when the brakes are dry.

It doesn't actually vibrate but that is what it sounds like, a very loud humming. Everyone with this issue should post on their Facebook page(s).

You could always switch to a quieter brake pad, but your braking performance will suffer.

Hey has anyone had problems with their brakes making a high pitched squeeky sound when braking at low speeds? I have a gt premium auto since 1st week of November and the sound just started within the last week.
YES!! It only happens the first couple of brakes I do, after not driving for a while (overnight, coming out from work). Really loud, sounds awful!
My colleagues, Nikki and Kwasi, at FordServiceCA are here to assist with Canadian vehicle concerns, bruinfan17 and rumson. I've looped them in on this thread. :)

I have been having it also, only notice it when I pull into my driveway.
+1

First day home overnight did this in the am.
Happens to me also.. every morning the first stop makes a squeal right before the car stops.
Have you spoken with your dealers, Millgeo5, Brownw01 and andrewr164? Please send me a PM with your VINs, current mileage, servicing dealers, full names, and contact info; I'll see how I can best assist.

Yes, I took my car in for it and was told they couldnt duplicate the problem. Yet as soon as I left the dealership it did it. I will give it until my first oil change to see if it improves.
Let me know if the symptoms have continued when you go in for your oil change, anotherneon.

I took my car in and they changed the brake pads but it's still doing it. I took it back and Ford told my dealer that it's normal because of the high performance brakes. I got mad and told them I didn't pay $40,000 for a car to sound like a piece of shit when I brake. Why don't the Camaro's make this noise. Sounds like a bunch of bull shit to me.
I can assist with customer concerns as well, POOPonYOU; no need to cheat on me with another social network. ;)

Please send me your full name, best contact number, current mileage, and servicing dealer.

I just emailed my dealer to ask if they've had any reports of it. I'll let you know what I find out.

I've found if I brake firmly a few times I can usually push through the squealing and it doesn't happen after that. It usually occurs when lightly braking after it's been sitting for a while after work.

I hate to disagree this being my first post and all but brake squeal is not acceptable. I have owned several performance vehicles over the past years. Wife currently has a 2014 370z. None of them had brake issues. I traded in my 2013 Tundra for a new Ecoboost F150 FX4 to try out the turbo v6. The F150 had brake squeal after 500 miles. Dealer said it was "normal" so I sold it with just 2500 miles on it. Went back to a 2014 Tundra which doesn't have brake noises. Honestly this is about the only thing holding me back from getting a GT Premium because I know what my local dealer will tell me!

Now, that being said...what brands of rotors and calipers are good aftermarket for Mustangs? If I do have brake noises I want a way to fix it.

Does anyone know if bedding the pads makes a difference? I notice that it goes away after the brakes get a bit of use, so I'm assuming that the heat makes things better. Also, it's been raining these days and the squeal is ridiculously loud.

On my 2010 Challenger I had the HD brake upgrade I would have to bed the brakes every 2-4 months to keep the squeal monster away.

I'm wondering if it is maybe front bias vehicles with smaller rear brakes...my challenger had tiny rear brakes and so do the Mustangs. My C7 has four piston front and rear brembos...I haven't seen any squealing complaints from any owners yet so I'm wondering if the larger rears help? Any with a prior S197 did a larger rear upgrade help?

My 15 ecoboost w/ PP squeals the 1st and second time I use the brakes when it's cold outside. Then it just goes away. Definitely coming from the rear.

It's a performance brake, after sitting naturally the rotor will corrode, you're hearing the interference between rotor and pad. It goes away when you brake a few times. You guys need to relax.
You go drive your car and have it sound like shit when you brake and see if it doesn't bother you! My issue is constant when I turn to the left and brake. I can drive in stop and go traffic and the noise is still there whether the rotors/pads are cold or hot. My GT Premium doesn't make the noise when I stop with my wheels straight.

Thanks Rachel for your assistance. Dealing with the service department at Cerritos is turning into a pain in the ass now.

Exactly! My friends new Camaro SS doesn't make this noise.
Never heard any other performance car sound like shit when braking. And my car is only a month old.

That won't happen, I don't have the 4 piston fronts (I'm assuming you have)

If you've never been around a car with brakes that are a tad on the loud side after being exposed to moisture then I can't help you.

If it's only under turning I doubt it's the brakes at all.

That is only my opinion though, I've been driving cars with aggressive brakes and pads for years.
