Well been at the dealer for an hour now, had an appointment for them to look at the brakes for the TSB, service guy isn't at all interested in the video I took. Car has been sitting in the back lot for an hour, don't understand the point of an appointment when they're just going to park it out back and that's that. I definitely don't like this service guy, same one from Friday. He asked me if I had this problem before or after I read about it online. I know when someone is being a sarcastic ass to me.

What's with Ford dealers and their service departments? Since I got my Mustang it's a hassle to get the car fixed through warranty. Haven't had problems with other brands here in NJ.

Luckily the mechanic was nice. He acknowledged the problem without hearing it, he said he's been with ford a while and has heard it on previous cars. He ordered the parts, but it squealed when he brought her up front and everyone including the ass all looked up. Service guy doesn't seem happy that I was right. Mechanic said they should be in in 5-8 days.

It is a little disappointing when you go to the dealer and ask about the brake squeal or if any TSB have shown up pertaining the issue and they respond with,"could just be brake dust". I will try to call them again tomorrow morning and set up something.Tired of the squeal on my 40000 dollar Premium Gt.
Just complain to FordService now so you can get a case #. And someone will contact the dealer for you so they expect you.

Fuck that! That guy would have ended up apologizing to me for even trying to be an ass. RAISE HELL with the manager and complain to Ford Corp. Dickheads have jobs because we take our cars to get serviced.

Three Mustangs in a row, all with a Ford ESP, and I've had pushback on warranty issues with all of them. I thought it was just my dealer but it sounds like a fairly common complaint. :tsk:

I'm not really sure where to point the finger, but it's amazing what some service advisors can say with a straight face. Is there Ford certified factory training for making excuses or what?

Is there a central 'clearing house' for Mustang TSBs? I check for recalls on all my vehicles every so often, also.
I can't use Fordowner.com to check because even tho' I am registered on COTUS with my Mustang VIN...Fordowner.com
does not recognize my name with the VIN.
Being informed is good, tsunami. You can see updated recall info on your Ford Vehicle on our RECALLS PAGE. All you need is your VIN.

I brought my car in 3 times. First time they said it might be dust/clay get inside the brake and i needed to apply "strong brake" 3-4 time to clear them out. 2nd time they said they got complaint from customers and they needed to wait for FORD perform an investigation. 3rd time i came with TSB from this thread , they said i needed to leave the car and technician will test it out to see if brake is squealing or not ? If not, they will not fix my brake. Then i show them video i recorded how loud my brake is squealing, and they still said "This won't help. We have to actually hear it in person." This doesn't make any sense to me. If my car doesn't squealing like a pig, why should i spend time to visit the dealer multiple times. And my car only squeal on rainy day. Now, i need to wait till it rain again to bring my car back to the dealer. This is bullsh*t..

Had scheduled my appointment to get the squeal fixed next week but since I hit a pothole and popped two tires I got it taken in a week earlier. Dropped it off told them about the tsb and they said they would look in to it. Got a phone call later on and apparently the car squealed while they were turning into the service bay. Luckily the dealer has the parts to replace them. Will be picking my car up later this week when I get back from work hopefully squeal free!

Sorry to hear this man, I ran into a similar issue. I think you should contact Ford Service and get a case going and a complaint against them.

Picked mine up Sunday morning. Drove it a bit that day, and to and from jury duty today. No sounds so far. Lets hope this fix is the ticket!

Just jumping into this thread. So, does the TSB as I read it mean that non PP GTs built after 2/11 should NOT have the problem parts? Mine was built 2/27 and I have been following this issue for a while.

Theoretically, yes. Do you have this issue?
