Do you think i should stick with a s 265 then?

either offset listed should work For a 9” with a 265 tire. I’d go 255 or 265 for a 20x9.

personally I think a 9.5” wheel is as narrow as I’d recommend. There are a lot of good tire options in the 275 range that work well on a 9.5” wheel.

The wheel i am looking at doesn't come in a 9.5" just a 9 or a 10.5 for a 20" wheel

I get that, just sayin there's a lot of great wheels out there in the 9.5-10" range that suit the sports car better than a relatively narrow 9". Pick the tire you want to run first, then pick the wheel. The tire does the work, the wheel just looks pretty.

Anyway, the 10.5 can fit square in few cases, and a +45 offset is very very tight but may fit with a thin 5mm slip on spacer, which doesn't require longer lugs. With the spacer its nearly touching at the strut at ~16mm closer than the stock PP2 10.5 fitment, but should fit the fenders close to flush. Don't get crazy with tire sizes if you try this, its close already and you won't have but a couple of mm to spare, so keep it to a < 295 tire on the front. If the front ends up being a a problem and not quite clearing, camber bolts should be able to give you just enough strut to tire clearance. My estimates say it will clear by a gnats ass w/o the camber bolts, but YMMV. A 10.5 ET42 would be better.

The rear fit would be perfect.

so broaden your horizons. What wheel are you considering? You couldn't find another good looking wheel in 19 or 20 that comes in 9.5 or 10.0?

spend soem time looking at tirerack reading the spec pages. You can put a 255/40 on a 9.5 all the way up to 275 and 285/30 too but I would probably stop at 275.

it may depend on the specific tire. Check the tire manufacturer’s specs for that tire model and size, they’ll say exactly what rim widths the tire can mount on.

So i took what you had to say about finding a larger wheel width i found...

Niche Essen Wheels 20X10 +40 offset. While i was looking at pictures of the cars that had this wheel setup. The owner posted that he did a "-1.6 front camber -2.0 rear camber" which i didn't quite understand.

That's just his alignment. A 20x10 ET40 should fit well on the car w/o needed any specific alignment or another. Its always good to know the camber they're running because it does affect how 'flush' the wheels look in pictures.

Why are people saying you need extended studs and wheels spacers to run wider wheels?

I'm running 20x11 et30 and et45 square, with 305/30 tires and i have no issues with fitment. Running on KW V3's and no rubbing, and camber within spec.

The wheel offsets are very different. Maybe the tires are same size front/back but most people consider same size tires on same wheel width and offset wheels as being square. Have you run these different offset wheels on the front and back without spacers?
