I've decided to run a square setup and i was wondering with those whom have square setups. what were some of your setup specs? I would like to know what a good wheel width would be for a 20" wheel.

Also what sort of tire sizes are being ran.

9.5” wide ET 30-35 offset with a 275 tire or 10” wide (ET35-40) with a 285 tire. You could also run a 9” wide with a 255 tire but why bother when a 10”/285 fits.

10.5 / 295 is tricky to fit square, so its uncommon. 11”/305 can be done square but you’ll need additional parts - camber plates, extended studs and 1” spacers for the front.

I'm on 19x10" Apex wheels with an offset of ET40, wrapped in 285/35 Brigdestone Potenza RE-71R's.

I'd say the ideal setup is 11" wide wheels with an ET52 offset, 305's all around. But you'd need to get camber plates and 1" spacers for the front, if not already running really slim offset coilovers.

I’m on 20x10 square setup Et 35 and I added 5mm spacers to the front and running 275/35/20s all around. The cool thing about it, is that the speedo is accurate now ( checked with GPS and Radar) before it used to read 2mph over the actual speed

Do you got any pictures of your setup? i'd like to stay with a 275 or 285 tire.

yes, here you go :)
It doesn't win any aggressive wheel fitment awards, but it looks good and doesn't rub and the speedo is accurate and it's on stock alignment, no camber plates, etc needed. Honestly for my car (v6) I think 275 is overkill, but I wanted the deep concave wheel look which I couldn't find on narrower wheels available.

They look really good man. What about going with wheel spacers to make them more aggressive?

Thanks bro, I have 5 mm spacers on the front wheels only to get the gaps even between front and back. For some reason the rear of these cars receive 5mm less offset than the fronts, hence me adding the 5mm spacers on fronts. The reason I didn't go more aggressive is that I don't want to deal with all the downsides of the bigger spacers, such as, tire rub, wheel bearing failure

The wheel i am looking at only comes in a 9" wide or a 10.5" wide. I wanna go with a 9'' wide because of the price difference and i think correct me if i am wrong a 10'' would have issue with too much poke out

10” fit easily with an ET35-40 offset. You didn’t say what wheel offsets your chosen wheel come with.

9” square isn’t a bad choice for a daily driver, but its a bit narrow if you drive aggressively. 255 is a square fit tire for a 9” wheel. You might be able to get away with a slightly wider tire on that 9” wheel but I’d want to know the wheel offsets before making any promises.

any discussion that does not include offset (ET) numbers is pointless.
You can run the 10.5 up front but you'll need extended studs and a spacer. IMO a 9.5 wide rim is the minimum for GoodLooks(tm) but if all you're doing is putzing around town the 8.5" with 245 tire is plenty good enough.

the 10.5 is a +45 offset. I believe i want to go with a 20x9" with a +32 offset maybe a +35 offset with a 275/35/20 tires
