Spun Rod Bearings

My builder may post up more but wanted to show what 7 of 8 rod bearings looked like on my car. Car has 7 miles on it. Anyone else heard of any issues?

7 miles! Defect or one hell of a 7 mile break-in. I'll go with defect for now. I assume warranty will cover it?

Reminds me of the rod bearing issue S65 engine had, similar setup as this one, V8, high revving (8300 rpm). Now they are dying left and right due to rod bearing clearances.

Even after almost 10 years of the first release of that car no one knows for sure why this happens and there is no solution. Aftermarket bearings with coating is the only way but even that is no long term solution.

I'd be curious to see if there's anything logged regarding the oil pressure at that time. Feels like a no-oil situation. What caused that would be the question.

Are those rough to the touch? they dont look like bearings ive seen but that might be normal

Did it run dry? Oil leaks at the turbos?

To clarify, the car had 7 miles on it when torn down for the twin turbo build. This picture is from the tear down process.

It sounds like he had 2 turbos attached to it already
