Springs and Sways Comparison

I have a set of 19x11 wheels for street driving and 18x11 for track use, the base M1 suspension is just not cutting it anymore IMO with the increase in grip.

I would like to car to be a bit stiffer on track and be able to rotate easily, while maintaining comfortable driving characteristics and a minimal drop.

I have made this chart and have been pondering it over for some time.
What setup do I go for? Currently on stock M1 springs and sways.

I have the dual rates and competition front and rear sway bars from Steeda and enjoy the feel of the car on the street. I’m running 20 x 11 305/30/20 square.

Thanks for putting that together, I was about to do the same. I have an HP M1 and leaning towards the Steeda dual rates and comp bars. However I see where you could get close by mixing a few of the production parts.

Steeda dual rate springs here, softer completion rear sway bar. I made the lower splitter easily removable, take it and the gurney flap off for road trips. For me, this is a really nice setup for a track/road trip car.

For the steeda dual rates, how was the ride compared to stock? The spring rate is pretty high.

The other reason I'm not considering it is the steeda setup seems to be engineered for understeer. I would be increasing the front sway bar size while decreasing the rear sway bar size, a recipe for understeer.

For me, dual rates are fine on 12 hour road trips and the weight shift on track was vastly reduced. I don’t notice any understeer on track but I’m only running about 8/10’s, just having fun at Sebring.

Dual rate front springs, Steeda front bar. Magneride controller with either canned Steeda tune or write your own. That's where I would start.

Or convert your front mag ride shocks to use coilovers springs.
