I was not going to get a CAI, due to the minimal benefits in the S550, however I have been hearing people talk about the different sound that a CAI gives. Does anyone know of any links to a sound comparison between stock box and CAI? I can't seem to find any online.

I would love to hear the difference! That might be the reason I go with one, as I am more about the sound than an extra couple of hp.

Thanks in advance.

Don't have a before but I can try and record a clip tomorrow with the jlt. Definitely gives it a nice aggressive touch. If you plan on doing exhaust its probably not worth it. I like the factory exhaust sound on the 18+ and need to keep it livable for the fam so the intake was just enough of a bump with out going overboard.

I was going to do the exhaust but I'm not sure now that I have purchased the car. However I did think the car would be louder than what it is. I run it in Track Mode exclusively and it's not as loud as what I imagined it to be. Maybe it is outside I don't know lol.

I can't really notice any sound coming from my sound tube which is interesting. I can only hear the exhaust noise from behind me. I may still look at doing a resonator delete yet and put in an H pipe.

If you want something louder then stock, but not over killing it the resonator delete and h pipe is a good choice.
I have a Roush CAI and I honestly dont hear any difference.....but I also dont have it tuned yet so its really there for looks until I do get it tuned.

I was amazed at the difference the resonator delete made. Really enjoyed the sound of the car but wanted a bit more so I installed a Borla ATAK. And got more than I bargained for.

You're not going to be able to hear any difference from CAI, especially on the sound clip.

If you're hearing noise from under the hood, you need a louder exhuast. :) Seriously unless you have a turbo or SC and want to hear them woosh or whine just pass on the CAI.

I hope I'm ok "hijacking" this thread, but it seems like it's not too much of a segue.
My 07 GT had a CAI and I loved the "woosh" it made when I went from nothing to WOT. I was curious if I would get this same sound putting one on my 2020?
