Hey gang, had to sell my beloved Bullitt. It was just sitting in the garage, and with 5 freaking (rare cancer) relapses in 6 years (I need treatment again now), I've spent a small fortune (and counting), so my big house with my 4-car garage is gone, and can only have 1 car now, and the Bullitt is just sitting there. Bought a new Tesla for my wife, that she really likes, and requires no maintenance, and no visits to the gas station... but it's not really a travel car (we tried). So I'm sacrificing my Bullitt for a freaking Hyundai Telluride (ha ha), so we can travel with my 2 daughters (and wife's dog) while I can. Oh well. But want to spend as much time as I have with my daughters, and in my condition, can't really travel by air, so I much prefer doing that than keeping the car. Will visit here from time to time.

Hey gang, need to sell the 5Spurs cup holder cover (with just the green stitching), my special edition Bullitt books (#292), and my FORScan cable. Paid like $230 for everything. You can't get the S/E books anymore, and the cover takes like a month to arrive. Is it okay to ask $150 (via Zelle) and that buyer sends USPS to pick up the stuff at my house? They'd bring a box, right? Not sure which size is needed. Please let me know, to put the ad over the classifieds, and not get in trouble here. Just want to know if that's reasonable. Thank you guys, and please enjoy your Bullitts on my behalf.

By the way, I got almost $43,884 for my car with Vroom (gets picked up tomorrow or Monday), which I think is phenomenal, so at least I feel that I did okay. Whoever gets my car will get the best used Bullitt anywhere (no tick, no oil consumption, absolutely pampered, and not a single scratch anywhere, including under front bumper (hope it stays that way, after the transport to Houston). I'm leaving all $2K+ in extras, including Steeda braces/rails, several spare parts (oil filter, PCV valve, drain plug, etc), and stock parts replaced, so will leave the loose stuff in the spare tire area, along with the full maintenance history/receipts/instructions, window sticker, FORScan programming changes, etc., in hopes the new owner will find them there. The radar detector bracket/cable shouldn't be stolen. Will also leave the windshield sunshield, but that might get stolen. That's why I'll sell the cover, since that would absolutely be stolen immediately. Have a great weekend, gang.

Sorry to hear that, and best of luck with the recovery.

Hyundai? I can still hear the voice of the mechanic in Thailand I took a second hand Hyundai to, to check it out before possibly buying it: Don't buy Hyundai. If you buy Hyundai, you will be sad.
Just joking, I understand they have improved a lot since then.

Really sorry to hear about it man. Your health first though.

Just remember you don't need an expensive car or a v8 to have a fun ride. Some of the biggest smiles I've had were put on my face by auto-crossing an Escort coupe.

That’s a nice choice for your replacement vehicle, given your situation. The Telluride reminds me of a Lincoln Aviator.

Thank you for all the support; greatly appreciated. I screwed up with the model, after looking at so many. It's the Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy, which looks and is more upscale than the Telluride. My wife liked it a lot better, and since I'm going to buy a women's vehicle anyway (ha ha), might as well get the one she likes. I also like it better, and has better stereo, more seat adjustments, fully digital (and integrated) dash, etc. It's very luxurious and quiet, and actually feels more upscale than my brother's Mercedes GLE... and makes the domestic competitors (Explorer, Durango, etc.) look like their early Excels (remember those?). Ha ha. I bought new Hyundais for my 2 daughters, and have had zero issues. Drove a Genesis G80, and it's an incredible car, but only has a 13.1 cu ft trunk, so no dice. And a super nice travel car would cost upwards of 70 grand, so Palisade it is, especially when I'll most likely have to pay $150K for my treatment, as insurance doesn't want to pay for experimental treatments (even though there's nothing else available to me anymore). Oh well. Hope everybody has a great weekend.

Hi JC,
I'm really sorry to hear that. I wish you all the best with your recovery and hope to see you back here with a new Mustang sometime. Maybe a Mach 1?
I will miss your posts. Come back soon, with better news.

The Telluride is not a bad (or bad looking) vehicle. I think they are rather nice. I wish you improved health. For the time being, keep stress to a minimum, eat healthy, avoid those who are sick, stay positive, go for walks often, and enjoy yourself. I wish you all the best.
