Sounds a lot like the Aeroforce Interceptor gauge.

FWIW, you can get a dual Aeroforce setup (a dual-cable OBDII plug with two gauges). Speed and throttle% shown on the second gauge I install only for track time.

It's also recommended to NOT mount the gauge in a dash vent (the gauge can overheat if you're running the HVAC on heat, and it may not display until cooled down). I'd expect this caution to apply to the nGauge as well.

The vent tube has been blocked off. And the nGauge is like 2 Aeroforce gauges, a data logger and tuner all in one.

It is super easy. It took me maybe 30 minutes to install taking my time. Plenty of ways to block off the vent as well.

Hmmm, is blocking off the vent required? I didn't do that.

MG, I have a hard copy of instructions and pictures for installing in the vent from the place I bought the Nguage. If needed, I can try scanning and emailing to you.

The popping off of the plastic clips can be a pain in arsh. I had to order a pack of clips from the dealer (4 pack $15, same cost as mounts) to replace 2 that fell into no-mans land in the front of the car. :frusty: Had me wishing I had just bought the damn window or vent mount. Just another perspective :D

It's at least strongly recommended to do so by the Aeroforce people. I can't see the nGauge being enough different in terms of shedding heat from their electronics being any different. It may be one thing in the summer with A/C blowing, something else in the winter with heat.

How did it go? Lap times?
Went pretty well. I had to run in intermediate group because it was my first event with Edge Addicts, so there was a bunch of traffic. Never got a clean run but managed a 2:36 on my Aim SOLO DL with a pass. Going to have to work out a plan for the Optima event because the Rival S were starting to overheat after a lap and a half. So I will try to go for one or two hero laps and cool it down, which will be tough with our 15 sessions. But, hopefully being one of only a few that have experience on the track, it will work to my advantage.

BTW the track totally lives up to the hype, amazing facility!

Glad to hear it went well. Nice lap times! I'd love to do the August event, but work is picking up too much. Hero lap... 2:30's or bring the steering wheel back to the paddock in your hands :D
