Was just going to get an update on the tick.
Any of you 2020 guys out there have the tick?

Yeah I get that. The tick will never die. Just like the GT350 will still lose a quart of oil every 3 city blocks. Thank a hand full of angry owners and you tubers.
Kinda expected this thread to go sideways. All of them once fully broken in (gen3’s) are going to tick and rattle a little bit. It was all the paranoid boobs jumping on the bandwagon who had (very unrealistic) expectations of whisper quiet 12 to 1 comp motors with DI. Mine starting ticking @ 2200 miles and rattle (2k steady throttle) after 5k with 3 oil changes within 9k miles. Do I care? NO! Car trapped over 121 mph in full weight pp1 (4000 plus w/me) on factory tires @ 1500 elevation with crappy prep and very little traction into 3rd gear. Motor is a beast! Done rant...
I do not believe there is anything to fix or revise. My point in my post is it obviously has zero impact on durability nor performance. ;).Kinda expected this thread to go sideways.
I am not saying the tick is anything. My car has it. It runs great.
I am wondering if Ford revised anything to fix it in the 2020 model.
Seemed to have originally caught them off guard in 2018 so ford might have made a few revisions.
I also had 16 GTI two door manual. Neuspeed +7 with Magic IC, Downpipe on E30 it ran pretty good. Noisy motor.I've had 3 cars with DI.
06 WV GTI, 16 Honda Accord 2.4 and 19 Mustang GT.
They all ticked, and that was normal. Both the GTI and Accord ticked from the DI injectors. I believe the ticking in the GT is also the DI injectors. I think it's difficult to find out where it's coming from because they're located under the intake manifold and that masks the origin of the sound.

Made me chuckleI took the injector/engine cover off mine to increase the ticking sound ...
