Nicely written mate. My Mustang is there for a service on Monday morning (the Mustang only goes on a while-u-wait booking and only until the warranty is out) if you want them to show me anything for you, I could take pictures etc.

Mine was in for 2nd year service last Friday at Lookers Leeds.
I had trouble trying to get through to book in so the on hold blurb said book in online.
I did exactly that and in the comments to the service manger, I put that the puddle lights had quit on both sides (the wet paper image you all know too well).
Dropped in the car that morning and they picked up on the puddle light comment and said they would look into it.
Got the technicians video with no issues.

Picked car up later that afternoon, all washed although they didn’t ask and I never said not to, and was told they had swapped the puddle lights with the new improved plastic ones.

I couldn’t have been more impressed.

Checked on my tracking app and it had done the usual less than a mile test run with no hard acceleration or speeding.

I plaster my car with DO NOT WASH signs whenever it goes to the dealer and remind the adviser when I drop it off.

I have nightmarish visions of some pimply faced apprentice taking to it with a broom and a bucket of filthy water a la Hertz.

I've already asked for a photo with the carpets out - just for peace of mind on the state of the floor pan, so that alone would be great

Heart breaking - new carpets turned up today, ready to be fitted.

But they can't. More water has come inside.
