I have a 2015 Mustang ecoboost, intake, borla catback, catless downpipe installed 3 months ago, been getting this smoke and oil smell at start up, not everytime but it's a lot when it does, mostly on warm starts after sitting a while, i have a upr dual valve cc on the way, should that help my problem? could it be something else? here's a video of it, smoke goes away after 5 min or so and doesn't come back until it sits

Did you get a tune to compensate for downpipe? Video is broken.

No i didn't, i actually am thinking of putting a high flow cat on which was recommended to me by cobb, so i'm hoping with a high flow cat and the catch can it will eliminate the smoke then i can get tunes through cobb, they suggested i use a catted downpipe

Well there’s your problem
Can’t run a catless downpipe without any issues long term

If you aren’t tuned why did you change dp

Either you tune to match downpipe. Or get stock dp back on.

I’d go stock dp and let the engine run as intended again. Hell, you will get more power if you add ford perf tune with stock downpipe, than aftermarket dp and no tune of power was the intent.

If you had a device to show you fuel trims I bet yours are f’d

Not sure if this applies, but the 2015's and early 2016 EB's had a known issue with the PCV - there was a Ford TSB out about it and it was listed in these forums.

It may or may not apply to you, since you have done some recent mods (and the problem came about after your mods).

well i was going for more noise, and planned on getting a tune but cobb says there ots tunes won't support catless so i was just gonna trade my catless for a high flow catted, add a upr catch can and find an access port to run a stage tune cuz custom tunes are $$$ and i got the cvfab catless and catted downpipe for less than $100

yes you can get a stage 3 tune which is catless downpipes you just have to find the download. someone on here or on mustangecoboost.net would share it to you via email, then load it onto tuner.

but they pulled stage 3 off site due to EPA laws. forced them too
