I am adaptable and looking forward to owning my first mustang but a few things do come to mind:
Why the redline with the red exterior
Why not offer saddle interior with ruby red
Why not offer the premier trim in saddle and stone as well

I feel like these forums are laboratories for Ford and some of these points raised here will be implemented so keep raising these ideas because they will pay dividends. After all, we will be the mustang ambassadors singing the car's praises and selling it for them.

My only gripe is not having a(some) stripe option(s).

I'm really wanting to add racing stripes, and I know I can do so easy(ish) after the fact, but still. What I'm less sure of is if I can add racing stripes and still add the invisible shield type product.

I guess I'll also gripe that all of these cars should come with 50th trim. It is the 50th anniversary. (That said, I didn't order mine with it.)

Pleasantly surprised to see the number of people wanting a glass roof. Really wish they added that. The heated Recaros are also a no brainer. Oh well, very minor gripes on what is shaping up to be a fantastic car.

Colors...needs s bolder shade of blue in a solid color. Too many dark metallics offered.
Agreed. They have offered too many shades of gray. Thankfully TY was offered or I would have to go with a CTS-V Wagon :headbonk:

It's a European thing. They have cameras everywhere, and they mail you a ticket if you even go one mile over the speed limit. So, a heavy foot can add up quickly. It's much easier to set it and forget it.
Tell me about it. I've driven around Europe a few times, last was 2 years ago when I drove pretty much all around France. I got 6 tickets in the first 4 days, and then two more later. It's EXTREMELY difficult to avoid as the cameras are hidden and very sensitive, even 3-5 mph over triggers them. It actually was quite a hell, I felt I was driving in a police state although the country side was very nice. And this was in a small 4 cylinder car. I dont really see how one could unleash the 5.0 in that place unless you lived near the unrestricted portions of Germany.

1. Colors that don't have a huge shift or change depending on the lighting.
- a. Dark blue shouldn't be purple.
- b. Dark green shouldn't be grey.
4. Hood prop rod.
5. Ability to order most any option individually w/o being forced to order a package full of things you don't want.

- b. Delete MyColor
- c. Delete ricer looking ambient lighting and illuminated door sills.
- d. Memory driver seat w/o oversized sub-woofer taking up trunk space.
6. Too much chrome/silver/aluminum (WHATEVER you want to call it) in the interior. The 'silver' toggle switches take it over the top.
7. The front end looks too much like other Fords. The side of the car looks too much like several other new cars... especially the small foreign cars.
I would love a dark green as well.
Hood prop rod would be nice but no biggie, they are trying to keep costs down I guess to make the Stang affordable. Small stuff like this adds up.
The group options allow them to take advantage of economies of scale and keep costs down, again, important in a volume car. Porsche allows you to order ala carte but thats because their markups are ridiculous. I will admit though the pairing of some options (memory seat and subwoofers) seem strange, I wouldnt go for either personally to keep weight down and I'm replacing the Shaker anyway (and hate subs in a car).
I like the sill/interior lighting personally :headbang:
Personally love the real metal pieces and I like what they did with it from photos, I didnt see any fake chrome but could be wrong - i hate that.
Love the front!
Thanks for commenting and sharing your thoughts.

I am getting about 300 miles to a tank in my 14 Gt, roughly a week of commuting plus a little extra. Filling up once a week is just fine for me. On a pure Highway trip I can get it up to almost 24mpg (with 4 passengers), which translates to a 360 mile range.
This is good. 300 miles between fillups on mixed driving is fine, better than what I get today. I was looking at the CTS-V Wagon, which seems to get 200 which is completely unacceptable. 360 miles range is also fine for me. I would have preferred an 18 gallon tank though.

My only gripe is not having a(some) stripe option(s).

I'm really wanting to add racing stripes, and I know I can do so easy(ish) after the fact, but still. What I'm less sure of is if I can add racing stripes and still add the invisible shield type product.

I also am considering stripes but since I will go with a clear bra, I dont know how that would work. I will NOT do painted stripes as I don't want to paint my car and its too risky (what if they are not aligned!). I also think an invisible shield product wont work well with vinyl stripes (it would have to go over it etc...not sure installers would do it). I do wish the stripe options (different ones) were given from the factory. The way I am likely going to deal with this is put a gloss black vinyl film on the roof, paint the mirrors gloss black and clear bra all the front surfaces and rockers. That way there is no overlap with the clear bra, also the look is more mature IMHO and complements the gloss back wheels in the TY PP.

Then people would complain about the extra 12 pounds of gasoline (plus the additional weight of the larger tank) since curb weight includes a full tank of fuel! :p

Also colors for me. They could have offered more vibrant lighter hues, especially blues and greens. The original '64 1/2 had 19 colors to choose from and this being the 50th anniversary year, there should have been more choices.

Grabber Blue has been out for quite a few models years now and it is probably good it is retired for a while. Ford has had some amazing lighter blue hues on the Mustang in the past and one or two of these would have been good to bring back this year:

K7 - Bright Atlantic Blue
L5 - Azure Blue
SN - Sonic Blue (one of my favorites)
K3 - Bimini Blue
MM - Ultra Blue
KA - Light Crystal Blue
7H - Bright Regatta Blue
F - Guardsman Blue ('64 color)
Y - Skylight Blue ('64 color)
H - Caspian Blue ('64 color)

Gotta Have It Green still seems popular and probably should have been offered but here are other good greens that could have been brought back:

SW - Electric Green
SU - Tropic Green
PS - Pacific Green
B - Pagoda Green ('64 color)
S - Cascade Green ('64 color)

For reds, I really think Ruby Red goes well with this car but Racing Red just seems "ordinary." Other reds that could have been brought out of retirement:

E9 - Laser Red (one of Ford's best red hues IMHO)
J - Ragoon Red ('64 color)
3 - Poppy Red ('64 color - it could be argued that this color defined the '64 Mustang and definitely should have been a 2015 color)

Original '64 colors for those that are interested:

3 - Poppy Red
5 - Twilight Turquoise
7 - Phoenician Yellow
A - Raven Black
B - Pagoda Green
C - Pace Car White
D - Dynasty Green
F - Guardsman Blue
H - Caspian Blue
J - Ragoon Red
K - Silver Smoke Gray
M - Wimbledon White (also a 2015 LE color - only '64 color on the 2015)
O - Tropical Turquoise
S - Cascade Green
V - Sunlight Yellow
X - Vintage Burgundy
Y - Skylight Blue
Z - Chantilly Beige

For the reds that you listed, Rangoon Red is my favorite and I wish it was available for the 2015 because if it were i'd be getting that color over Magnetic

but unfortunately that's not the world we live in. Big brother decides what you want now a days ;) and of course they know better.
Speaking of which
2. The bottom of the side windows is WAAYYY too high. (or the door is too high, depending on how you want to look at it.) My '05 was really bad and it looks like it gets worse with the '15. I could put up with all the other things if they'd fix this.
You can blame side impact standards for that one.

While you complain whether the coolant recovery container is "black" or God forbid "clear", what about making Sirius/XM available in the Base V6 Convertible at least as an upgradable option? If you don`t opt for Leather Interior, hope you like Ebony Black regardless of what exterior color you have selected. What happened to the "Stone" interior option? Not everyone is crazy about looking at either lint or dog fur on Black fabric!

No dogs allowed, keep off the grass as far as my car is concerned. But with that said, I do wish they'd offer some other "environment" colors other than black. With the red, saddle, and ceramic seats, everything else is black. I used to be active with the Ford EXP community (thus the name) years ago, and those cars had so many interior colors - complete interior, not just seats - it was tough to keep up with (there was even an orange in '82!). I know Fox body cars were the same way.

Now, I know that by streamlining this, Ford will save significantly in manufacturing costs. But dammit, I'd like at least one or two options in this area. A blue interior, or something. Interior panels and carpet that isn't black...

My father's '66 convertible (see below, next to my car) is Nightmist Blue with a parchment and blue interior. The seats, top and painted interior panels are parchment, the carpet, belts, etc is blue. I would like to order something sort of similar. I suppose I'll have to be content with ceramic and black inside a DIB car...

Seriously, (no) Dogs in the 2015 Mustang Convertible? I`m buying the damn Car because of my 2 fuzzy faced Daughters, my beloved Golden Retrievers, Rosie & Hope. Now, on the matter of interior color availability, I ordered my 1994 Mustang Convertible in the summer of 1993 with Rio Red (Race Red) exterior with Red fabric interior. Ford only offered the Red interior for the 1994 model year. The following year, only Black & Grey were available. Some option other then Ebony Black should be offered, IMO. Not a deal breaker (but) almost.

I always find it interesting what people do/don't do with their vehicles. Even though it's a lot of cash spent, to me it's still "just a car". One that I dearly love, but I guess I'm just not as hung up on certain things like other people are.

I'm not obsessive about washing/waxing/cleaning. Nor about animals in it. To me, it's a vehicle to be enjoyed, but also used for whatever needs you may have. Grocery getter, weekend cruiser, weekend track days, vet visits, whatever.

All that said, I usually go for leather interior so that if something spills, it's relatively easy to clean up.

I'm getting the GT+PP for fun and light track use, but it'll also be used for family trips, taking the pets to the vet, watching movies at the drive-in theater, etc.
