I would not let my pets in my car but that is what my truck is for... different story however it is just as bad as me going home from work being all greasy from a hard days work but that's what a change of clothes are for if it comes to that. If it was an emergency fir what ever reason.... I would not care because they would be more important to me

I always find it interesting what people do/don't do with their vehicles. Even though it's a lot of cash spent, to me it's still "just a car". One that I dearly love, but I guess I'm just not as hung up on certain things like other people are.

I'm not obsessive about washing/waxing/cleaning. Nor about animals in it. To me, it's a vehicle to be enjoyed, but also used for whatever needs you may have. Grocery getter, weekend cruiser, weekend track days, vet visits, whatever.

All that said, I usually go for leather interior so that if something spills, it's relatively easy to clean up.

I'm getting the GT+PP for fun and light track use, but it'll also be used for family trips, taking the pets to the vet, watching movies at the drive-in theater, etc.

I wouldn't want a pet in my home either, so maybe I'm just weird. I'm also not obsessed with cleaning my car, but I want to get into the whole detailing thing for this new car.

I hope my post didn't come across in a negative way. I just find it interesting reading opinions from other people on what they do or don't do with/to their vehicles. Everyone has their little things that they do or don't do.

my dog n cat are both in the house though sometimes it sucks I would rather deal with the fur bunnies running around the house than to have to let my dog suffer with the heat or mosquitos and heartworms, both my cat and my shepherd have its issues, they are both trained pretty well. accidents happen but at least it's on the pad and he knows he did wrong. my shepherd makes one hell of a great guard dog in the house when I am away[emoji2]

Seriously, (no) Dogs in the 2015 Mustang Convertible? I`m buying the damn Car because of my 2 fuzzy faced Daughters, my beloved Golden Retrievers, Rosie & Hope. Now, on the matter of interior color availability, I ordered my 1994 Mustang Convertible in the summer of 1993 with Rio Red (Race Red) exterior with Red fabric interior. Ford only offered the Red interior for the 1994 model year. The following year, only Black & Grey were available. Some option other then Ebony Black should be offered, IMO. Not a deal breaker (but) almost.
Seriously. But for me, its easy for a couple reasons: 1) mine will be a 2016 Mustang convertible ;), and 2) I don't own dogs. There are a couple in the family that I allow in the Mountaineer, but I really don't want the fur in my Mustang. Or the drool. :D So they don't get in the '99 either.

Guess I created a "fire storm" of controversy about looking forward to eventually getting my new 2015 Mustang Convertible and putting the Top down and taking my (2) Golden Retrievers to the Beach. They absolutely love chasing tennis balls on the sand and fetching them when thrown into the surf. I keep my new Cars spotless. How? Well, I have well fitted waterproof "seat protectors" I keep in the trunk along with several Doggie Beach Towels. Its obvious, "fionic" is (not) a Dog person, which is ok. To each their own. JoeDogInKC and I, obviously are. Whether I`m by myself with just my "two Girls" or if my Wife is with me, its a hoot driving into Sonic for Car Hop Service and sharing some French Fries and Soft Serve Ice Cream with the Dogs. "In Dog I Trust"!

Yeah, we have several nearby still. Load up the car with the wife and kids, a cooler with drinks and all the snacks we need. We get to see 2 movies for like $8/person. It ends up being much cheaper than a regular theater.

I know. I was just lamenting the rate at which they've been disappearing. Love the drive-in and there aren't really any out this way :( Sounds like you have more close to you than there are in this whole state!

11. Fake chrome interior accents replaced by brushed aluminum
\
Ford claims no more fake chrome plastic accents. All the metal look in the interior is actually metal (polished Al or chrome).

Gotcha. Yeah, there are at least 3 that I know if that are all within maybe 20 minutes of me.

There are a few gripes I have, but know that in general I think the car looks amazing.

1. Body color painted rear diffuser on non-premium cars.

Seriously Ford? This looks terrible! It doesn't match the front or sides, and it just looks unfinished. I would have to change that immediately if I didn't get a premium. I don't mind subtle differences to tell the trims apart, but this just looks bad. At the very least the PP should get the diffuser. I mean why is it associated with the Premium model anyway?

2. Hard interior plastic needs to go away. (Enough said)

3. Should allow alternate wheel options with PP.

4. Too much overcharging on package overlap.

Example: You still pay full price for 50th anniversary appearance pack and PP even though you only get one set of wheels. Recaros remove heated and cooled seats, but you still pay as though you were able to keep the feature.
This covers all of my gripes.

My gripes: Small fuel tank (I get that they're trying to game the fuel-economy numbers by keeping weight down, but that seems like a dumb way of doing it); no option for a sun roof. But those are also gripes with my current Mustang, and I've gotten along fine with it so far.
