Thanks Mike,
may not be best for me then as I put down the seat a lot when I mountain bike.
Also I throw my dog in the trunk and only put one side down for him to crawl through.
Actually, that's why I had it installed. It gives my service dog a flat area to be on vs the dished seat bottoms. The vertical partition could very easily be cut in half if need be.

So how big is your dog, I'm seriously looking for a rear seat delete kit for my 95lb. Black Lab. This looks like it would be almost perfect.
Spooky is a Shiba Inu. 50ish lb. I will remove the rear panel when she travels with me if I don't take the Explorer. She prefers it as she sits there and looks out the rear window. Just like a little kid.

What's the benefit of a rear seat delete? Weight savings?... If it's just for coolness factor I get it though.
What's the benefit of a rear seat that is only 1" away from the back of the front seat? I took my rear seats out because they are useless and serve no purpose for me. I'm 6'2" and even with my driver's seat slid a few inches forward an eight year old child couldn't sit in the rear seat behind me. With a harness bar installed for safety and stability, there will never be more than one passenger in my car. I put the rigid molded GT350R rear seat delete in mine for a clean look.

I would seriously recommend reinforcing the flat style rear seat delete with 1"Ă—1" light gauge steel square tubing from Lowes/Home Depot for a dog that heavy.

Was thinking I might have to, now I know I have to. Thanks
