This may seem an odd question but is the rear seat delete worth it?
(does it still fold down?)

For those who got a car without a rear seat (vs those who took it out and store it) do you miss the seating?

My 1982 Trans Am (Knight Rider model) had more legroom and was used sometimes ... but that was high school lol.

If I do a rear-seat-delete there won't be any padding back there but when was the last time I had anyone in the back of my 4 door Focus.

If you want a seat delete order your car that way. Trust me.
you will have heart failure if you see the price through the Ford parts counter

If you don't option for the rear seat delete you'll have some harnesses that are new for the 2021 year models that are for the rear seats. If you remove the rear seats they'll be unplugged and throw a code. If you option for a rear seat delete no harnesses will be in the back.

Do you know what is required to defeat the harnesses?

That I honestly couldn't tell you. There was a thread on here were a guy was gonna remove his rear seats and he found the new harnesses. Not sure if anyone has found a work around for them yet or not. If you plan to remove the rear seats in the future just option it now would be my advice. That's what I did with my Mach 1.

no rear seat here and don’t miss it a bit...it does not fold down, but you can pop it out with three bolts and have decent cargo room if you need it.

I also came from the ST/RS camp

also, I think there’s a factory delete kit for sale on here.

I’ll have to drop the kiddo off at school at times so I’m keeping the seat, but if it weren’t for that I’d probably have done the delete.
