Should these be backlit?

Hi! Should these “gear” indicators be backlit/ turn un at night? Mine don’t and I find it curious… thanks!

i think at one point those letters did light up orange, but in 2020 (i think) Ford removed that and the glovebox light for who knows why

Nope, my 19 does not light up either.

My 2018 didn’t neither. What really sucks is that the glovebox doesn’t have the light my 2018 used to have.

Also the trunk lid that covers the tyre inflator, is different from my 2018 and Mach1. It’s cheaper quality.

Some of the plastic inside also feels cheaper quality than my 2018.

Now, the leather seats in my Mach feels better than the 2018, because it has more stitching and less space between them so stretch.

This was a thing Ford did with the F150 a while back too….some of the guys on the Raptor forum found the wiring was still there. They ordered the part from the prior year, and it was plug and play.

Not sure if it’s the same deal with the Mustang, but if it is, it’s an easy fix for those who would like it, assuming the wiring is there.

Haha. One answer would be that Tremec is not available here, the real one though, is that I don’t know if I would go for one since I love the comfort from an auto…

So my S550 is the first American car I have owned in quite some time and I continue to be surprised at all the cut corners and details that Ford has decided to cheap out on. I guess that's what gets us a V8 RWD performance car at a sub-stratospheric price though.

Yep, that's why I put a M6 shifter plate on mine when I replaced the Shifter and E-Brake Boots.
