So as some of you may know i've been having troubles. I found out the piston was cracked and it caused a ton of damage. The engine is being replaced under warranty. When i get the car back from ford should i put the catch can on immediately? I know i need to break in the engine again for at least 1000k mi before i start having fun with it again and reinstall the tune, but are there any parts i should replace right away ie the intercooler or catch can etc...

Speaking as a GT owner, yes, I'd have a catch can on the car immediately. I just emptied mine last night, and after 2000 miles, took out about a half ounce of crap.

Yes, it isn't for just as the engine ages, you'll get oil in there on a new engine.

it only helps the motor so no real reason to wait.

I assumed these would likely be the responses. anything else? or just stick with the catch can and drive like a grandma for 1000k miles. I plan on putting everything back on at the same time with a new tune from adam. How long do i wait to do that?

Dont have to drive like a grandma just dont beat the piss out of it. I would then change the oil at 1000 miles and then start driving it hard.
