It's as safe as tuning any engine.

The Cobb Accessport seems to be the preferred tuner in the Mustang EcoBoost world.

Are there even any pro tuners out there who tune for that thing?

The Cobb Accessport and the Lund N-Guage have way more tuner support and are more expensive for that reason. Those are better options, in my opinion.

If the price tag is what attracted you, you really shouldn't cheap out on tuning.

Upgrade your intercooler first. As soon as the OEM IC heatsoaks the ECU will pull timing and you will have just spent $$$ for nothing but a fancy set of guages.

Get a tune from Unleashed Tuning (use BDX or nGuage device) or do what everybody else does and get a Cobb with supplemental tune (eg. from Tune+)
But yes get a proper Intercooler first. There were a couple new ones being listed by forum members recently.

I got the Cobb early on, and it did more to wake up my car than any other mod. If I could only have one mod, that would be it.
