I'm sure somebody has seen this, anyone have an opinion or thoughts on it?

https://lmr.com/item/HUR-3910205/2015-mustang-hurst-competition-plus-shifter-3910205
I first looked at the Hurst shifter for the '16 GT. I have used Hurst for the past 35 years. However, I began to read many post across the web of people being very disappointed with the poor rigidity, and rough build of the Hurst. It was also reported to be very notchy. Hurst has dropped the ball and is not a leader any more.

I looked into many different shifters but one turned out to be by far the best received, have the highest recommendation by owners. The shifter was made by a company renounced in the weapons business for 1st rate design, machining and built quality. I just ordered the M82 race spec short throw shifter and the UPS delivery occurs tomorrow. What is the brand, you ask? Why it is MGW, of course.

Call George at MGW with any questions you have. Great guy to deal with. Request he to provide you with a discount code to order with and say 'thank you!' You will be glad you did.

The last Hurst shifter I bought the chrome plating began peeling within a few months of owning it.

I don't know if I'd call a 38% throw reduction a waist. I got nothing against MGW but at least Barton and Hurst advertise the throw reduction percentage. Any idea what the MGW reduction is? I can't find it on their site.
There is more to a shifter than just throw reduction. Smdh

hurst isnt even direct mounted to the tranny. Awesome hursts instructions require you to unbolt the driveshaft and you have to reuse junk parts from the stock shifter assembly.

No thanks

Have you checked out flossy? they do custom sick knobs. You'll just have to discuss fitment with them. www.ShopFlossy.com @keep_it_flossy
yeah, I tried him then I had to file a paypal dispute because once my order was in and paid I got zero communication and found tons of negative reviews about him from other forums. over a month of waiting and multiple emails with zero response. no thanks.

Would an aftermarket shift knob work with the mgw? Or do I have to get an mgw knob?

Yes, a after market shift knob will work. I am using a boomba know right now. However, I have ordered an Anarchy knob.

Not sure but I don't think so. I believe they do give a 5% 6G member discount, call and confirm.

We do not plan on any Black Friday sales as we try to keep our pricing down ALL YEAR round for EVERYONE. If i could lower the price i would just do it for everyone...

I will tell you this. MGW is about to give a knockout punch to the competition with this next wave of RACE SPECS which will start shipping first of December.

Stay tuned for some exciting news next week!!! I think it will make ANY arguments for alternatives pretty much obsolete.

Thanks George!

Man I sooooooooo want to buy the MGW shifter badly! Sadly, I'm not comfortable with installing it myself... So far I do not know of any installer near me in the Tampa, Florida area that has installed the MGW 2015 shifter setup in their 2015 GT. If I knew of an installer around here that has installed one already, I'd pull the trigger and buy it from you today. Wondering if anyone in this forum may know of an installer near me that has installed this shifter in their 2015.
