Short throw shifter

Picked up one of these on ebay for a great deal. Never installed, but did not come with instructions. Install looks easy except have a question re which side to face the reverse lockout collar bolt. Im guessing drivers side as this is the only flat section of the collar. Let me know if you have installed one of these.

None of those pictures shows other sides of the reverse lockout piece, so I can't figure out the correct position. Is it a bit longer on one side than on the other, or flatter, by any chance? If so, then that side must face the driver.
It would help if you could take a few pictures of that piece from different angles.
