Which ever you guys decide it will be night and day from stock. I had a Barton on my 2011 and loved it. I now have an MGW in my 2015 and love it.

I am going to be purchasing a new shifter next week, now that I have read everything and watched all the video's I'm still not sure what to go with. I like the Barton it looks really well made and the fact it retains the factory reverse lock. But I also like the MGW because it is not reusing any of the factory parts and the redesigned linkage seems like it would be more robust. Decisions decisions......:headbonk:
It will be between the MGW and Barton for me too.

Are there any install videos for the MGW around?

I watched your installation video and near the end as the cartridge was being positioned it was stressed that "one particular side had to be facing the driver"
Does this mean you will need modified units to be used in RHD Mustangs when they go into production?
My understanding of the Right hand drive cars, is that the trans remains the same. So in your case, the lockout would be towards the passenger side, or the drivers side here in the US.

We will also be offering a full replacement, with the solid mount and linkage. I was hopping to have them in production and done by now. But my wife had a baby 3 weeks ago, I have a new machine coming in this week, and we are in the process of adding another building here, so its been delayed a bit.

Our solid mount features a built in safety loop for the drive shaft. The shifter can be installed without this stuff and then it can be added later if need be, or it will be able to be purchased at a discounted combo price. For anybody who purchases the shifter before the mount and linkage is ready, we will still honor the discount/combo for the mount and linkage.

Thanks Dave
so future install instructions just have to use left/right terminology and eliminate any driver reference at all?

Thks Dave
So your future install instructions will have to eliminate any "driver' reference and just be limited to left/right ?

I sent a reply asking if you already had the shifter? Probably ended up in your spam filter. Not really sure on the release date, the design is done. I have a few sets here but Im waiting on a few things to happen.

The shifter has been tested on a 9 second car and it worked flawlessly. I Haven't tested the solid mount and linkage yet on a car of that caliber. I have a Whipple supercharger, Headers, Driveshaft, and clutch coming for mine that should be here in a week or two. Then I need to head to the track and shoot the videos I need of the underside of the car to check check clearances and movement with a dead hook.

Im working hard on getting material, powder coat, heat treat, and all the process's down to a price that is reasonable. Im hopping in just a few weeks we should be ready to ship.

So I met with a guy here that had the Barton shift kit and holy shit it's like a bolt action rifle compared to my shifter. I think it might be my next install. Made my shifter feel sloppy.

I hopped in our cars back and forth. Had no real problems with my shifter before but now I've had a taste of the better stuff. The Barton kit is worth the money from what little I've experienced.

Any update on the Solid Mount from Barton? It's been a few months since he posted this and I don't see anything on their website. I'm ready to purchase a short shifter and I was waiting to see how the Barton would compare to the MGW.
