So my wife just decided out of the blue she wants a short shifter for her eco. Before i get in touch with Barton. I would like to know what everyone is running. And can it be trans mounted like GT can.

MGW. Barton seems good too though. I've heard a fair bit of noise complaints about the Steeda unit. I got the x-spec which is the even shorter shift throw, but with the flat stick which ends up feeling about OEM height but the shifts are quite a bit shorter.

It 95% eliminated a very annoying high pitched whine in certain gears (could hear it every time i hit 4th, and sometimes winding out 2nd). Wifey is making a good decision, it totally changes the feel and nature of the car, though be warned the shift effort will be higher, and getting it into reverse is a bit harder as well. Not sure how the reverse is on the Barton.

🫨😵😵💫😵 steeda is in love with steeda
I’ll holla at Barton.
I will say, Steeda was the best option for me at the time. I'm not sure Barton offers anything for the Ecoboost. At least it's not obvious on their website. 🤷‍♂️

Reverse is like stock. She drove my GT with a Barton trans mount and loved it. But i wasn’t sure if the eco could be trans mounted also. I don’t see why not but I’m new to the ecoboost so figured I’d ask around.

Yeah interesting, i dont see an option for the "hybrid" model that lets you direct mount to the tranny.

I'm happy with the Ford Performance unit on my 2017.
