Thought I'd share this information I got :)

Here is the package for the 2.3L Ecoboost.*

New Ford Block w/Main Girdle

CylinderSupportSystem installation

New Ford Crankshaft

Crank Micropolish

Clevite bearings

Manley 8.2cc Dish Pistons +.5mm dia

Manley Forged Rods

Finish machine work*

Shortblock assembly

$3899.99 + return shipping.

OEM Ecoboost Core $300. If you plan to send your block in after removing.*

This can be purchased straight through Adam if you prefer.*

This shortblock would retain the OEM sleeves. The CylinderSupportSystem would strengthen the OEM sleeves to handle 800+Hp.

The benefits of retaining the OEM sleeves are:

1) Sleeves will never sink

2) Sleeves will never walk around and cause headgasket sealing issues

3) No more Full Sleeve Heatsoak which can cause overheating and detonation.*

A ticking time bomb ;)
Is CnCWerx currently the only vendor for a short block? would be nice if we had an all in one thread that contained all options and specs

Agreed. So far it looks like the CNCwerx is the biggest bang for your buck though. Can't beat that price for the power it supports

FFTEC built mine and my block was also the first one with the CncWerx CSS installed. Holding up great so far, hopefully I will really be able to test it down the road when there are better Aux fuel options available.

Sounds like a pretty good price what you are getting. Only thing I would make sure you add is keying the crank, which shouldn't add much to the cost if it's not already included in that price.

Let's say if you kept the stock turbo and had all the common bolt ons. Would buying one of these and building the engine give you any added HP or TQ? Or is it just for if you want to go big on hp by adding a big turbo and pushing limits to be safe? Please go easy ;)

This is the block that I worked with CNCWerx to spec out. These are all components from me that are sent to Jeff @ CNCwerx to be assembled.

Have the first block for serious testing going to be shipping next week. It will be ran on a Vargas Stage 2 with 116oct unleaded fuel. Should be good for 500whp for the street, and with some fresh squeeze another 75-100whp at the track.

I will be doing a much bigger setup later on this year, it will be seeing a GTX4202R and some race gas.

That setup makes me think you are aiming to be the first 9 sec EB car.

I dont think it will really make any more power, but you can beat it harder and not worry about it. Im in this process right now but with a complete engine. Im gonna use the stock turbo for a while so im in the same boat as you.
