Well, if anyone does find a public PDF resource, please let me know! As awful as my local dealer is at fixing anything, I've found that I have to do lots of the work myself (damn fucking rattling interior!) and it's frustrating without a factory manual and as a matter of principle I don't feel like contributing to Ford's bottom line since I have to fix problems that should have been fixed A) at the factory, or B) at the dealer by the 7th time I've taken the car in.

I would like to know how the Charge Motion Control plates work and what controls the drivers side mirror.

Beside that, I love the car and having a manual at hand is ensuring it has a healthy long lasting life as it is a keeper.

Why would they need the VIN if you just order the 2015-2016 Service Manual?

helm got my vin number. with it, the computer was able to find out on what day my car was built, engine calibration, paint code, axle ratio and other easily found info.

Sounds worth a purchase, makes it more special to you, and less likely for you to copy it and sell, is it a lot more money than the other site?

I'm unsure which is better - Helm Inc, or the one from Motorcraft's site.

Are they the exact same?

I know the one from Ford Motorcraft is has 3d renders and such.

Helm is the company that makes the manual for Ford.

Their website is stuck in 2002

i bought the 72 hour subscription from helm for around 10 bucks and also had a lengthy time getting well acquainted with pdfs. i bought it last year so my memory isn't the greatest. i believe upon purchasing i input my vin number or it might have been when i first logged in to use the manual.

No clue if that's what they do. I was under the impression it was legit. Who says its stolen and what proof is there that this is the case? Internet is where to go to get bad info so don't take anything for face value without researching for yourself.

What makes you think it is legit ? If that's a download of Helm's manual, you have to be really naive it is unless you believe it because it is convenient for you.

But given this thread started with "is is available for free", I'm not surprised...

I just ordered the Helm CD/DVD manual, it's in the mail now. I was not asked for a VIN, I ordered the 2016 Mustang manual. Past manuals I've purchased from them include all models and engines etc., you just pay attention to what your car has installed.

how much did that set you back?

I think it was about $179.

The CDROM is incompatible with windows 10 due to the copy protection it uses. Just keep that in mind.
