Once I got my car retuned, and I’ll be cruising between 55-60mph and punch the gas, it will down shift into 3rd then when it goes into 4th, traction control light comes on.
I’m definitely not spinning the tires at those speeds and now that the car is retuned it definitely goes into each gear much harder. Not harder in a bad way but snaps my head back when before it never really did that unless I was in drag mode.
Should I just turn traction control off or make some adjustments in the tune when shifting. Like i said it’s never done this before but with this new tune the car has much more power.
If anyone can chime in I’d appreciate it.

(Not trolling) And what would make you think you aren't slipping the wheels, even a little? It seems like the plausible explanation especially since it is a tune and there is "neck snapping" involved?

I would advise not turning off traction control especially considering it might be intervening to your benefit.

What does the company that did the tune say?

it only does this when it shifts into 4th. And I can’t imagine I have enough power to make my tires spin when already going 50-60mph. I was only using “neck snapping “ to illustrate when only going into 4th it feels much different (more torque build up).
was just trying to get some opinions on here before bugging the tuner with another question lol…
Thanks

I wouldn't feel bad about bugging the tuner. It seems like your latest mod to the vehicle and definitely sounds like a legitimate concern.

Good luck and hope you get it resolved.

Since having a tune done on my 2018 GT I get wheel spin from accelerating hard at 60 mph easy. just hang on steer in to it and enjoy the slide.

Change to sport or track mode. Does the problem persist?

Every time it’s either in Sport or Sport +
Was going to try it in track and drag mode this week and see if there’s any change.

you have both sport AND sport+ driving modes?
Yes. Drop the shifter down from Drive to “S” sport, then also on the toggle switch, switch it to sport +

If you are letting the car shift itself, the shifting within Sport+ is the same in D or S. Selecting S just lets you keep paddle control once you start using them. In D if you paddle shift a couple times, the car will start auto shifting again after some time.

If you have ID1050's,LTH's and a good tune installed and are running a flex tune on E85, you most CERTAINLY DO have enough power to spin the tires in a 3rd to 4th shift. Especially if you are still running stock 255 width.
